“Great little hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2013

Just back from our stay at this lovely hotel. Very clean and all the staff were very helpful. Would recommend it if you're after something basic and clean in an ideal quiet location but only 2 minutes walk to the main nightlife.

GOOD
Good location - away from the noise but very central
Sheets and towels changed at least 3 times a week
Food you pay for is generally OK - lunches in the pool bar are very reasonably priced & tasty - great tuna salad & chicken wraps

BAD
Breakfast is truly appalling - even by basic Turkish standards this is very poor, not even basic!! - no cold drink, no fruit, no yoghurt, no cereal, no honey (this is based on my many trips to Turkey and the basic Turkish breakfasts I've had)
Staff attitude is poor and bizarre!! The only friendly face is the young cleaner and the lady who works around the hotel in the breakfast area and pool bar. Marc used to press his backside against people and told them "don't touch my bum" we experienced this and also saw him doing it to other guests - this is not professional and not acceptable behaviour.
We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times - the first time Billy approached us and told us to say we were half board if anyone asked (we weren't).
The staff weren't friendly if you didn't stay and eat in the hotel - they didn't give us pressure to stay and eat, but they were very unfriendly.
The hotel doesn't have the ability to pay by card - really find this surprising in this day and age - even the rep didn't believe this when we told her. One member of staff actually told a member of our party to go and borrow money instead of taking a card payment.
On the evening we left not one member of staff said goodbye and only Typhoon came and helped with one of 4 suitcases.
Definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't be returning

Stayed at the Ercanhan for 10 days on out first trip to Turkey on a half board basis.
Ate in the restaurant for 7 out of the 10 days, mostly chosing from the Al a Carte menu for a small subsidy.
Overall, the food was of good quality for the money with one exeption, the Fried Ice Cream which was a ball of ice cream coated in crushed Corn Flakes and presumably deep fried.
The staff were all very pleasant and friendly and although the rooms were basic, they were kept spotlessly clean. I couldn't get the TV to work but didn't bother to let them know as it was not important.
The hotel is ideally situated at the top end of the first canal nearest Marmaris and less than 1 minute from a seletion of ATM's.
It was evident from those residents we spoke to that many were return visitors which tells it's own story.

Had a really lovely week staying at the Ercanhan Hotel. When we go on holiday we like to use our hotel as a base and have a good explore of the local area, beaches and restaraunts. We found the Ercanhan was great for this. Ideally situated for all local amenities, quite central but tucked out of the way of the evening noise. Our room was adequately sized for our needs i.e. Bed and Breakfast, and was kept immaculate by a very friendly cleaner. We were on the top floor over looking the pool and although we did not find the stairs too much of a problem we can see how they may be a problem for some people. We tried lunch in the hotel and both the salads and the toasties were good with very large portions. We like to eat out for dinner on holiday and try many different places. We read reviews that the staff were not happy with this but we did not find this much of a problem at all.

Room Tip: No lift so if you have trouble with stairs ask not to be in rooms on the top two floors of the main...

This hotel is ideally situated within minutes of centre of Icmeler and the beach but is quiet and away from noisy bars. The room we have is small but adequate and is cleaned every day. The chambermaid is very friendly and cheerful as are the rest of the staff. The pool and surrounding area are very nice with more than enough sunbeds and large cushions. The depth is the same 1.4 metres so ideal for people who can`t swim as they can get in to cool off! The only downside apart from size of the room, there is no lift so if you have trouble with stairs it would not be advisable to book this hotel, apart from that, I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Great holiday! Plan to return next year.

Room Tip: Do not choose Room 15. very small.

Stayed at the Ercanhan in July 2013. Very friendly hotel in a great location. Close to beach, shops and restaurants. Rooms kept very clean. All staff lovely Tayfun, Billy, Marc, Shaggy and Nora. Turksish breakfast but this is already stated when you book the holiday. English breakfast available for a little extra money. Enjoyed the holiday so much we are returning in october.
