“Disapointing with food and service a poor 3*”
Reviewed 29 October 2010

Food was not good in any of the resteraunts. Ended up using the Pizziera snack bar most of time. Fish resteraunt in georgous location but very limited menu (same every night with only two options and they charge £5 etra per person. Maid service very poor and we changed rooms but still same. Glasses not removed from room or washed. Only beds made and towels changed nothing else touched. Maid sometime did not service room until 5-6 pm. Some staff were rude or others just disinterested. Drinks appeared to be watered down or non alcoholic especially beer at pool where they did not serve spirits until after 6pm. Air conditioning turned off while we were there first two weeks in October this apprently is what they do even though the temp was 35 degrees ad 26.5 at night. We complained and they said it had not been switched off. Others also complained made no difference. The hotel has obviously been a lovely hotel with key elements like its own jetty, heli pad and waterfront walkways with Glass lifts to see the beautiful views. The hotel it should be noted is not responsible for the views, the other positive things above were bult with the hotel. It may have been a 5* quality before but if it was it has lost its way in terms of quality, service and food. I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall had a great time, but 2 matresses piled on top of each other does not constitute a third bed, Thomson Holidays take note. The annimation team worked their socks off with little resourses, hence evening ents were practically nil, same band for two weeks. I would appreciate a little less loud music around the pool area during the day, it didnt even reflect the age group of the clientele, and you must employ lifeguards, one poor Rusian died in the pool and no one noticed for 10 minutes, children wre also contantly in the gym unsupervised. The catering staff and stewards were second to none, I never had one bad meal. This hotel attracts large numbers of eastern europeans who's general demeanor and manners take a little getting used to, expect to get pushed or bundled out of the way

After something of a false start courtesy of On The Beach, we eventually checked into this hotel. I must make special mention of the reception staff who were exceptionally helpful when we arrived at 3.00.am. only to find the hotel had no record of us.
The location is superb almost mid way between Icmeler and Marmaris with spectacular views across the bay. The staff attentive and very very friendly. The food choice extensive and even I as a very "fussy" eater had no problem in finding acceptable food every time we dined in the hotel. In particular the "booked" eateries were very good and the Camlik restaurant as well as offering excellent food cooked to order was in a lovely setting by the sea. The public areas quite grand. The weather whilst we were was very bad, which meant many more guests were staying in the hotel for more of the time, this must have put the staff under pressure but the service never wavered.

There are however a couple of bad points. The room we were given 2428 was a supposed sea view room, and indeed it was if you stood against a very badly cracked four foot wall. If you sat in the balcony furniture the view consisted of tree tops. The room itself was exceptionally poor stained carpets, very badly fitted furniture, toilet that didn't flush, debris on carpet there when we arrived and still there when we left, and perhaps most disappointingly on our last day a packet of biscuits unopened in a draw was opened and partially eaten by presumably the chambermaid.
Equally concerning was that I had a very nasty fall in the Turkish bath which resulted in in a chip fracture to my elbow, very badly bruised thigh, and cut foot. Unfortunately the staff at the spa were totally uninterested.
I did raise both the quality of the room and the fall to one of the management staff Ismail Uygur by speaking with him and in writing but unfortunately he chose to ignore my comments, a shame that the management didn't display the same dedication of staff.

Rather than give my opinion, which is always subjective, I'll just state a few of the factual elements that explain my title above.
Paid for Family Room - (Run of House) - Got "upgraded" to villa room.
Faults in room - broken and unsafe bedside wall light, curtain hanging off rail, kitchen cupboard door daomaged and badly fitting, wardrobe door would not upen enough to allow drawers to be used, spike sticking out of pedal bin in bathroom where pedal should be, dirty and missing sealant around shower with severe mildew, missing toilet seat pad, rust around toliet seat fittings, dirty flush handle,
Requested room change at reception - told nothing could be done until morning when manager was in.
Requested room change in morning - told to come back at 12
Requested room change at 12 - told to come back at 1 o'clock
Eventually offered two twin rooms next to each other in main hotel block. Not adjoining. Would mean one parent and one child in each room for safety.
Did not accept.
Eventuall offered suite wth extra fold-up bed. Room was much better, but still not 5 star.
Always (mostly short) queues for hot food, meaning some of it was cold by the time you got it back to the table.
Some staff pleasant, some staff rude.
Bars regularly ran out of glasses.
Barman answered his mobile phone in the middle of serving and talked for minutes, whilst customers waited to be served.
Pool area was extremely slippery when wet. Kids fell many times.
Kids pool walls made of rough concrete - many cuts and scrapes!

Needless to say, given our experience, we were not impressed with this hotel at all.
The only thing positive I have to say about our holiday, is that we made friends with a great family whilst there and they brightened up our week. Also the hotel is in a beautiful location and has great views out onto the sea from upper floors.

Great Hotel, very good location, food and drinks were excellent, beautiful views over the bay. Went in May and the temperature was perfect, sat out every night enjoying the great music from a professional group who played everything. When they finished we went for a snack after midnight outside the disco on the way back to our appartment, that was the downside, Our appartment was very old and shoddy and too far for my husband to walk, we tried to change to the main hotel but the hotel was full as there was a conference going on.

Went here for a week with my long term Boyfriend, both in our mid twenties, and neither of us had been to Turkey before so did not know what to expect...

We were very suprised with the kindness and friendliness of the staff, particularly KATIE (The English entertainment person there), she organised us days outs, Bar Crawls and told us of where to go, what to do and the routine of the hotel when entertainment was going on and at what bar!!!! Your own personal guide as and when you needed her!!!

Great holiday, lots to do (even swimming with Dolphins which we didnt get a chance to do in the busy schedule) even allowing some CHILL time days too by the pool and evenings with the band.

Food was LOVELY, hotel was always clean and tidy and the location was perfect.

Definitely recommend, great hotel!!!!

This hotel has everything in terms of location and amenities. It offers a gorgeous sea front as well as two pools. It has four restaurants and plenty of bars and juice spots. We are pretty fussy about food - but with the exception of the on-site pizzeria, we were very impressed. Eating by the sea at the Turkish or fish restaurants is not to be missed.
BUT....
It has to be said that customer service is a little lacking there. The waiting staff clearly couldn't wait to finish their shift, and the bar staff were, frankly, drunk most evenings. The reception staff were frosty. And the chamber maids were dozy. Only the entertainment team delvered.
This did not spoil what was a great holiday, and I have no hesitation in recommending the place to other travellers.
