“Great position, fantastic staff but hotel dated”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

All previous reviews are correct so not a great deal more to add.

We where allocated room 774 but if you have young children this will be a sleepless holiday for you, the neighbouring hotels late night bar is situated only metres away and it goes on until 0200 hours. After two nights we got a move to 548 but that was only thanks to the concierge manager Hectar.
Avoid all rooms starting with a 7.

Loads of wasps in the restaurant area and around the pool, I did see a number of mobile phones on the dining tables with an app giving off a beeping sound. No wasps around them so may be with a download before you go.

All staff where great with the kids especially Speedy so thanks to him.

Meals start and finish at the allocated times, don't be late as they are very keen to clear up.

I and others question the star rating of the hotel, no more than a 3*

Enjoy your holiday

We booked our holiday as a last minute deal and was offered this hotel as a replacement by Thomas Cook as the hotel we initially booked (and paid for!!!) had been oversubscribed. We were advised it was an upgrade of our 4* choice hotel in Icmeler. Turns out it wasn't. On arrival all was well, the rooms allocated smoothly and were nice.

The food was so disappointing.. Everything was mush. The fruit was tasteless. The pastries were tasteless. Nothing had flavour. The fried eggs were undercooked as there was the stringy, clear slime/gel on the tops. The scrambled eggs were slop and not the consistency expected of a scrambled egg. Lunch was not much different to breakfast and dinner was not much different to lunch. It was horrible each and every day. We started to dread meal times.

The 'main' pool and tin of sardines springs to mind. Very claustraphobic. We enjoyed the 'relax' pool. This was much better. More roomy.

Throughout our stay whislt around the pool and at mealtimes we were indundated by wasps. Our Thomas Cook rep even knew what a problem they were as he commented on it. My daughter got stung. A friends child was stung 3 times. All you ever saw at meal times were people wafting away wasps.

The hotel itself is a nice enough building and the rooms were suitable for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept clean and tidy and the views from the hotel (we had sea view) were gorgeous. A trip for a Turkish Bath at the Buddha Spa is a MUST!!

Our main issues with our 10 day stay was the standard of food. It really was awful. To summarise 4 mornings we skipped breakfast. 2 nights we ate out for tea. The next issue was the wasps. They were everywhere. I feel that the hotel need to address these issues.

The staff and hotel itself were as good as expected. The weather was glorious and my daughter loved the Thomas Cooks kids club. Laura, Daryl, Andy and Michelle were fantastic!!!!!! She loved her chocolate massage at the Buddha Spa too.

I would rate the hotel 3* and based on the food, this to be very generous indeed.

The hotel would have cost us an extra £400 if we booked it out of choice but given the cock up from the word go by Thomas Cook we did not have to pay due to the oversubscription error. All I can say is thank goodness.

Room Tip: No lifts in accomodation away from main building. Good sea view from our room (571) but furthest aw...

We were very very pleasently surprised we booked very last minute ( booked Friday arrived the following Wednesday) so didn't know what to expect.

When we arrived the reception staff were very welcoming and informative. The room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The bathroom looked quite new and was clean.

The food was good too even with myself being a fussy eater. I would Definitely recommend the pizza from the food court although the queues can be long they are worth the wait. We also had the Turkish a la cart dinner one evening which was £10 each so quite reasonable which was delicious but there is a LOT of food!

The drinks were all good with a selection of cocktails available at certain bars. The service was always really quick.

The staff at the resort were all really friendly and hard working.

The Thomas cook kids club was brilliant they were excellent with our little girl and made us feel very comfortable leaving our her there, they even delivered her to us at the spa when we were late picking her up from kids club! She really enjoyed kids club and meant myself and my husband could have some valued alone time together. The staff were brilliant and really friendly our daughter really took a shine to them! Couldn't of asked for more!

Would strongly recommend the spa too! We had a couples spa day with a Turkish bath and massage it was very relaxing!

Overall I couldn't recommend this hotel enough for a family we had a great time and would definitely return.

The Jolly Roger boat trip was good for the kids as they were well entertained!! and us grown ups relaxed in the sun :)

me and my family went her in april 2014 it was our first family holiday abroad :) the hotel is set in lovely surroundings and was so clean. we was just out of season when we went so there was quite a bit of work being done to areas and not everything was open but was still really good, we was told there would be no kids club because it was out of season and for the first few days we saw groups of children doing activities with staff it was a kids club!! but one run by the hotel and not a thomas cook one, i asked them one day if my son could join in and he absolutely loved it he went every day for the rest of the holiday then and enjoyed every minute of it, activities during the day and discos at night he was having a ball, i think they need to make more guests aware of this because the staff team were brilliant and we didnt know about it, my little boy Harley now wants to go back there so he can see Sandro from kids club it really made his holiday. lots of other things to do aswell lovely spa, brilliant photograper, lovely bar staff all in all a really great holiday :) xxxxx

Our family of four, two adults and two teenagers stayed at this hotel, from the 11th of July 2014 until the 22nd of July 2014.
From the moment we arrived the service we recieved was excellent.we stayed in a bungalow room, which was cleaned every single day,and fresh bedding every day.and the air conditioning was brilliant, with it being 40 degrees.
Special mention to ilknur our room cleaner, who we feel went the extra mile for us,Ozzie the guest relations manager,Ali at reception, andi the photographer, and joe at the bar.you all made our stay really special.food at this hotel was lovely, always something for my very fussy daughter.pool area could get quite busy, so you had to be there early to get a sunbed.
All in all we where very satisfied with our stay, and plan to go back in the very near future.
It's just a shame about the transfer time to this hotel(2 hours),it can be quite off putting, especially if you have young children.with many stops on the way to drop of other guests at other hotels.

Just back from this hotel in Turkey it has very good points with some negatives
when we arrived as part of a large group we were split up which was very concerning one party was in the main hotel the rest situated in appartment blocks
The rooms were small but lacking storage but these impressively clean dove shower gel and towels changed daily the maids were brilliant the air con was a god send in the heat
The staff are wonderful hard working and friendly, a special mention to Speedy in the top pool bar who liked to keep the place lively top marks to the wee man !
The hotel grounds are impressive but may not be suitable for people with mobility issues there are some steep gradients and lots of steps in places.
The food excluding breakfast we found varied and interesting there was a small issue with wasps buzzing around the table but thats nature.
Overall a lovely hotel with hard working underpaid staff

Room Tip: The Orange Domus bus stops outside the hotel costs 2.50 TL less than a quid it can get busy but is a...
