Just returned from a one week holiday here and overall would say it was very good. We arrived at 5.30am and our luggage was taken upstairs to our room - slightly disappointed as it was so small. There was not much room to move and two people couldnt stand in the same bit that was how small it was. It was however clean, tidy and well equipped with mini-bar, hairdryer, air- con (which you didnt have to pay extra for) and tv. There was a huge balcony which got the sun later in the afternoon. The bathroom was in good enough condition and the shower was excellent, very powerful and always hot water. You could rent a safe for the room which cost £1.50 a day. The turkish breakfast was lovely - fruit, cheese, bread, eggs, olives, salami and everyday there was something homemade from the owners wife. Plenty of tea/coffee and water. The pool area is a good size, not too big and not too small with plenty of loungers and tables and chairs. The pool itself was clean and not too cold! George who works there can never do enough for you, he is a really nice man who seems to work all hours. We had lunch there most days and it was always lovely and pretty cheap. They also made sandwiches for us to take to the airport as we didnt want to pay the prices there. Mavera is in a great location, less than 5 minutes to the canal and places like Bamboo and Venice. All in all a great little hotel but I would not class it as a boutique one. My only complaints would be about the size of the room and the fact our door didnt lock all the time (and the maid left it unlocked).

Just back from a week at the Mavera - great location, only a few minutes' walk from the beach, but not at all noisy. Rooms are basic but kept spotlessly clean - we had one overlooking the pool, which was lovely. Air conditioning was included. The showers are great - plenty of hot water too. Pool area is very nice - really comfy sun loungers, a great place to chill out.
Manager George is a lovely guy who can't do enough for you - very helpful indeed, and the rest of the staff are also great. The Turkish breakfasts were lovely - the lunches we had were also good, and they made us very nice sandwiches to take back to the airport with us to avoid paying the rip-off prices at Dalaman!
All in all, I would recommend the Mavera to anyone looking for a smaller, friendly hotel with staff who simply can't do enough for you.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms overlooking the pool area

Just back from a weeks holiday at the Mavera,we were the only guests,it was like having our own private villa,George front of house acted like our butler.Murat manager cooked us a great Turkish meal and we had our own private chef,"Just tell chef what you want"and not forgetting Arkan who showed us around the town and took us mountain climbing!!.We were treated as guests not customers. If you want something different, not nameless high rise hotels where you are just a number go to the Mavera..

Room Tip: If you don't fancy anything on the menu ask chef,he is only to willing to help.

Excellent location and very good food but that is where the good things finish, this is NOT a boutique hotel. We had room 107 on the ground floor, the door wouldn't lock properly (even housekeeping kept leaving it unlocked and one day we came back to find it open), no wardrobes or drawers just a "cubby hole" that wasn't wide enough for coat hangers. There was a 3 inch gap under the room door and the same under the balcony door. The wall lights above the bed didn't work in fact one was missing and just bare wires sticking out. The bathroom was quite adequate and modern except there was a 2in pebble wall inside that I kept cutting my elbow on. There was a lovely big balcony but we couldn't use it as it was full of rubbish. There was a TV in the room but if you wanted to watch it you would have to sit on the bedside table. There were people in the hotel that insisted on partying until 4.30am shouting and screaming, and because the bar was at the end of the corridor the noise was horrendous. I asked if they could shut the doors to help cut out the noise but they weren't interested. We loved Icmeler but wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: don't go at all or ask for rooms furthest away from the bar

We have just spent ten days at the mavera and enjoyed every minute of it.The hotel itsef has only twenty rooms, they are quite small but adquate and comfortable for two. They are nicely decorated with tv, air con which is free and a fab shower! The owners are turkish and speak very little english but are very friendly kind and considerate even to the point of bringing us cakes out whilst we chiiled around the bar and pool at no extra charge. The star of it all is George who keeps the owners and chef inline and cannot do enough for you and loves a laugh himself.Anyone who didnt enjoy their stay must have either been ill or not out there to enjoy the holiday.Would definitely recomend the hotel and we are looking forward to returning next year if they can take two weeks of Mark & Andrea.Special thanks to George(chicken) dingo,Joanne,Julie(yorky)Roy(headmaster)Fay(62?),Tom Selleck, the three drunks from b/ham and Rick Parfitt !
