My partner and myself have just returned home after staying a week at the Mavera Hotel and we loved everything about it. As others have said, from the minute we arrived the staff were extremely helpful. As it is a family run hotel, and very popular with other Turkish families, the staff speak little English however Sam, who was there everyday, spoke good English and couldn't do enough to make our stay more enjoyable.
Although we arrived around 1am we were offered food on arrival if we were hungry and our bags were taken to our room. The following morning we went for breakfast which consisted of typical Turkish foods. I have to say that was the only morning we made breakfast however we were always offered tea or coffee each day when we went downstairs.
I was looking for somewhere to stay that was close to the main area and beach, small, quiet, clean and friendly and it ticked every box. The pool was always quiet so there were no fights for sunbeds, in fact most days it was just my partner and myself and, although it was only a short walk to the beach/main area, it was in a quiet location. Our room was cleaned everyday and kept spotlessly clean and staff were helpful and friendly. We also ate here most days for lunch and the food was really nice and reasonably priced - nothing was too much hassle and things were cooked to your liking. It has to be said that Sam made the holiday and the hotel is lucky to have him. He was on hand all day everyday, 11am until 3am, always with a smile and friendly manner. He became aware of our liked/dislikes and catered for our needs across the board. The holiday would not have been the same without him and for that we offer a huge thanks! We would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to any of our family and friends.

We stayed here for two nights, hotel was good and room prices were reasonable. Room was big and fresh. Only the breakfast was average. It has a good and green garden. It's a pleasure to sit over there.

From the minute we arrived we loved this place. We arrived late and as soon as we got off the bus we walked up the steps to the lovely little bar area and were made to feel very welcome. We were worried that the bar wouldn't even be open but we instantly had our cases taken to our room and had a nice cold beer, they even made us some toasties at 1am. The hotel is a small family run affair and George the barman who speaks several languages really knows how to extend hospitality and couldn't do enough for us, or any of the guests. The rooms are quite small, but are kept spotlessly clean and have free air conditioning which is a huge bonus as we paid about £40 a week for this at the last place we stayed. They also have good free wifi connection and there is someone about 24 hours a day, so it feels very safe. All the guests we spoke to were really nice people and most of them were on return visits as they had enjoyed it before. There was always a bit of banter in the bar, and George works till 4am every morning serving drinks. Drinks prices at the hotel are pretty reflective of other bars in Icmeler and we had a mini bar in the room which was also fairly priced so we often took a couple of bottles of water out with us if we went for a walk. The food menu is reasonable and we had several nice lunches at the hotel when we had days by the pool. We stayed one evening to have a Turkish meal and this was absolutely superb. I am vegetarian but this didn't cause any problems and we had lovely meze and a special vegetarian dish for me which was served over a hot flame. My husband had the lamb and mashed potato which was one of his favourite meals of the holiday and had already been recommended to us by several guests. George also made us a special cocktail inside a hollowed out watermelon which was superb. We had drinks every day at the hotel before we went out for the evening, and unlike some hotels in Turkey they didn't hassle us or make us feel bad for wanting to go out and try different places, they just welcomed us back when we returned. We had a Turkish breakfast every morning which is served between 8 and 10am and was simple and tasty, usually with a special different Turkish bread. The location of the hotel is excellent, only 2 minutes walk to the beach and a couple of streets back from the canal behind Venice restaurant (but far enough away not to hear the noise). It's also 2 minutes from the main street which has Florida bar, Chef Restaurant etc so we were in a great spot. They have been having some problems with an old website for the hotel which is not in the control of the current owners and has all kinds of incorrect information about a luxury spa, coffee shop, evening theatre entertainment etc which is all untrue and could set false expectations. It is a simple, good value, clean, safe, friendly basic hotel in a great location and if that is what you are looking for then you can't go far wrong. We were sad to leave and won't hesitate to book the Mavera next time we go to Icmeler.
