Our first visit to Turgay (Turkey too, actually) was great. The apartments are clean, roomy enough. Josh and Ollie friendly and helpful. The pool is kept scrupulously clean by all the staff. The food is really good (especially the bacon baguette). The bar is well stocked. The apartments, themselves, being in the old village are relaxed and peaceful. One little gripe is that, not being allowed to take our key, we had to wake either Josh or Ollie whenever we returned late (sometimes really late!) to the apartment: they said it was their job, but we still felt a little guilty for obviously having woken them up. We never quite understood why we had to leave the key...

Back to the Turgay Apartments and what a pleasant surprise when we met the same people as last year. The Turgay is a lovely quiet friendly place to stay, lovely staff, great views from the apartments and a great pool. The maids dress your bed on a daily basis with various designs

The apartments are clean and spotless, bedding and towels changed on a regular basis. We had a great time and would recommend the Turgay to anyone seeking a relaxing, well looked after holiday.

The apartments are set in a perfect location in the old village, a 15 minute walk from the resort centre where you can find many restaurants, bars and the beach.

We would agree with all the positive comments made by others and have already booked to go back next year.

Have just returned from Icmelar and our marvellous stay at Turguy Apartments. Although my partner and I have always said we never go back because there are so many places to see in the world, this time we definitely will. I think we were the only people there that hadn't been before. You can see why. The staff and management are superb. The boss, the ever so quite Mr Turguy, who is, incidentally a superb chef (we ate there 7 nights out of our 14), his son Josh, quiet and polite and totally unflappable, and the two likely lads, the amazing star of Turguy, Ollie and his mate Mustafa, pool cleaner and Turkish coffee maker supreme. The two hard working maids who kept the place spotlessly clean, and yet found time to thrill my partner with swans and hearts made from towels on our beds surrounded by flower petals.

I could not believe some recent negative remarks. Sun bed hogging- nonsense, there were always more than enough. Anti children -rubbish. There was a family there with a brilliant little baby boy Charlie, every body there adored him, especially the staff, Ollie doted on him.

All in all, a superb holiday thanks to Turguy, quiet, peaceful and yet great fun. We shall return.

Room Tip: All the apartments have good, views of the pool and the pine covered mountains. Obviously if you aren...

This was our 11th visit to Icmeler and have stayed in several different apartments but must say the Turgay has been the best. Maid service was second to none the two ladies greeted us with a smile & a few friendly words. They even noticed our wedding anniversary cards on the table and decorated our beds using the towels to create a swan and butterfly , it was a lovely gesture. We were a bit concerned after reading some reviews that we would be made to feel awkward if we didn't eat in, this was not the case. We did eat breakfast every day but this was our choice, and it was cooked to perfection. The only little niggle I need to mention is if you want a cooked breakfast you need to order before 12 o'clock, on our first morning after arriving at 02.00 we felt like a late breakfast. When we tried to order at 2minutes past 12.00 we were told by Ollie it was too late, we settled for a bacon sandwich. The family were nice especially Josh who was always on hand 24/7 and worked like a trojan but was always smiling and helpful. We had a very enjoyable relaxing stay, thanks to Josh & Family will definately be back next year.

My partner and i had an amazing 2 weeks at The Turgay,The staff inc Josh,Oli,Josh's mum and dad the cleaners and of course the best Turkish coffee maker on the planet and allround good guy Mustafa made our holiday so memorable i would not hesitate to return. The rooms were basic and extremley tidy and very comfortable. The feel around the place was relaxing, friendly (Oli and his banter)and typically Turkish. The setting was spectacular looking onto the mountains and the apts were festooned in beautiful flowers. We loved the Turgay and would recommend to everyone who would care to listen.Thank you so much Josh and your family and of course your excellent staff :-)

Room Tip: Top floor apts offer superb views

We had a fantastic time on our girly holiday while staying at turgay apartments. Josh Oliver and mustafa were on hand 24 hrs. This is really a lovely family run place and has a lovely feel about the place.
We went to the Turkish night on the Wednesday which was great fun and the food was delicious, all freshly made.
The pool was great and clean.
The apartments were basic but had everything you needed. It was absolutely spotless and cleaned everyday.
It is in a great location 15 mins to beach when walking.
If you fancy a boat trip I highly recommend you seeing josh and getting booked onto his cousins boat for the day. Josh will point you out to the right person on the beach to book it. We had a fab day. It is a smaller boat than some but again is run by a family. Everybody has a sunbed and only 25 people on the boat unlike some others where they fit 80 to 100 on.

First off let me agree with the other reviews, the staff at Turgay are great, a really nice bunch of people. The positives... Great staff, superb cleaners, always a smile 24 hrs a day. The negatives ... the room had multiple electrical sockets loose or broken, the door key slot was hanging off the wall, the air conditioning unit had no cover over the wiring with exposed wires hanging out, the kitchen window was bricked up, the light fitting was dangling out with exposed wires where the fitting had come away. Not exactly Turgay's fault but the pool next door was little more than swamp water meaning the mosquitos were less than pleasant at night meaning you had to pay £30 extra per week for air con, the wifi also doesn't reach further than the bar. Add the bed for the kids that was well beyond its best days with a mattress some 1 inch thick and you can imagine there we're lots of sleepless nights. Some of the apartments have been upgraded, at least we had a fridge, some rooms only had cool boxes.
As I said lovely family but the rooms, or at least our room was well below standard. Not somewhere we would go again.
