“Very Quiet, poor food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

My partner, her daughter (15 years old) her best friend (17 years old) and myself. Went here July 4th 2014 for 14 nights. We went all inclusive which was a mistake as we ended up eating out most days.

Rooms are basic but clean, one bad thing is you have to hire a fridge but everything in the room (including the fridge) turns off once you remove the key fob from the socket in the wall. You might as well not bother with the fridge!

The food is repetitive and rehashed from yesterdays left overs. Breakfast isn't nice. I am far from a picky eater but even I struggled after a week of this.
There are some lovely restaurants in Icmeler though, we found "The Mandolin" really nice. A lot of the local restaurants do nice breakfasts and are cheap approx 7-8 TL for an English cooked breakfast.

Hotel entertainment? There was a belly dancer on Fridays for 20 minutes or so, nothing else. You need to make your own entertainment and if you have kids be prepared for some whinging! Icmeler in general is extremely quiet.

The staff were pleasant enough but not many of them speak a lot of English.

I'd suggest staying here only on a self catering basis that's if you eat out as the rooms have no kettles or microwaves or any way to make your own stuff.

The mini busses are cheap (2.50 TL) and quick and regular to get you to and from Marmaris which is a little bit more lively.

If you want to go on day trips I suggest booking through Ozzy who has a stand just around the corner from the hotel.

Well we have just got back from our weeks stay the Siesta, and we have had a brilliant time. This was our 2nd stay here and we will be back next year. This is a three star hotel with 5 star staff who go out of their way to help you have a lovely holiday. It has quite a lot of repeat guests and we met some people who were there last year when we were there, and plenty of new friends. We have always found the food fine, there is always something to eat and the soups were lovely. Tanner and Elvis who work in the restaurant, are always happy to help you, if you have a problem or want anything they will try there best for you,you only have to ask. The rooms are cleaned every day and are always spotless. We took our 7 year old granddaughter with us this year and she loved it, and wants to go back. Echo who works the bar is absolutely brilliant we love you Echo. All inclusive bar untill 11pm but the bar stays open till 2pm where you have to pay for your drinks. We had our son and his family visit us most nights and our grandson loved Echo as did my son, always made welcome. Please remember this is a 3 star hotel not 5 star you get what you pay for, we have had a brilliant time,. Please give it a try as we are sure you will have a great holiday. If you go please say hi to them all from joy alan ava-lily & zak we love you all our Turkish family.

We've just come back from a 10day stay at the Siesta Hotel. My partner and I had some worries about staying here as a result of the bad reviews on here, but there's no need to worry at all. The rooms are ample sized, all the facilities you could need. The food is lovely, always chip's for the fussy people, but I'd recommend trying some of the dishes. I'm quite a fussy eater but I really enjoyed them. The staff are lovely; always on hand if you need them for anything. Would recommend this hotel without a doubt, we're definitely going back! Had a fantastic time!

" Two good and Brock,",behind reception, nothing too much, any problems from changing money to changing rooms, see either they will sort it, "Zafer" the hotel manager is always on hand as well. "Echo&Ceyhun two barmen always ready to serve no matter where you are. Waiters in the restaurant " Taner, eccument, Anil and Olsun" would be ready to get you what you wanted for meals, treat them with respect and they will pay you with all the help you want, dont expect 5 star. we found the pool and sunbeds adequate. not forgetting the two ladies who looks after your room "Ebru and Pembe", amazing always ready to help, rooms cleaned while at breakfast. nicely situated with all bars and restaurants around, Travel and excursionns see Ozzy round corner, Shave definately Chico next door we stayed 9/6/14 for two weeks, would we go back, yesssss.

A lot of refurbishing and updating gone on since we were last here, and is lovely, Our 5th year staying here at the siesta, I just love it, its a warmly welcoming hotel, and we felt nothing was too much trouble, I had difficulties with walking, and if the staff could help me they would, rooms clean, maids friendly, as much food as you could eat, the holiday went far too fast for us, that to me speaks volumes of a good holiday in a great hotel with great people/friends. We will definitely be back :) :) xx

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool are odd numbers, there are four floors, and furthest from the bar ends in...

Currently on our 5th visit in 6 years. Only year missed was to go with grandkids to Florida. The hotel is excellent value for money but its biggest selling point is the wonderful long serving staff team. My wife uses a wheelchair and from day 1 the staff couldnt do enough for us.We have made friends with several couples that have been coming for even longer thsn us and have made friends for life. On every visit the staffs faces light up when they see us and it is truly like returning home.
