“Really enjoyable stay!”
Reviewed 30 July 2011

Just back from Icmeler, having stayed 11 nights at the Mirage World Hotel. As this was our first stay at an all inclusive hotel, we were a bit nervous about what we would find. We need not have worried. The hotel facilities are great and the staff generally friendly and helpful. There were 6 in our party (one 12 year old, one 16 year old, two eighteen year olds and two adults), and we all had no difficulty finding something to amuse us all! The same can be said for the food - the buffet selection is huge - I especially liked the salads, lots of lovely herbs. We could all find something we liked at every meal.
We had two rooms, both were clean, functional and spacious enough for our needs. The air conditioning was definitely needed with the temperatures in the range 37 - 40+ C during our stay.
The hotel location is good, just a couple of minutes walk into the town or the beach. The Mirage beach is not the best (the sand is very coarse and gritty) and we had to pay for a sunbed and parasol even though we were staying at the Mirage. If you like to spend the day on the beach walk either side of the Mirage beach to find the better sand (you still have to pay in most areas).
Overall we had a great holiday and would certainly come back to the Mirage.
PS - the Hamam and massage is well worth the price!

Me and my boyfriend (both 19) stayed here from the 12th to the 19th July 2011, we arrived in the early hours of the morning and checked in straight away. The receptionist offered us a twin room but after asking for a double he sorted it straight away.
We were taken to our room by the bell boy, we were a little disappointed in the size of the room and our view was not the best either.
Air conditioning was great and the maids came to clean the room every day, even making patterns with the bed sheets!
one bad point was that all sun beds were taken up very quickly and often had to wait until about 3pm to get one.
We found the food good, but a little repetative and ended up going out most nights, there are lots of nice bars and restaurants around icmeler, perfect for a young couple looking for an area not too lively but not too quiet either!
Staff at the hotel are polite and quickly clear your used plates and cups after meals.
All round a good holiday and would return.

We arrived 00.30 to be told there was no room for us and we had to spend a night in a hotel over the road, they told us to ome bak at 9am have breakfast and there woud be a nie room with pool view ready for us, felt sorry for the porter who insisted on carrying our bags to the other hotel which was at best a 2* hotel on single beds. Not a good start but didnt see the pint in making a fuss and thought we will see what happens in the morning. As promised after breakfast we were shown to a lovely room overlooking the room and of a good size with a double bed put again felt sorry for the prter who had to go to the other hotel and again carry our bags a good distance.
Downside to the hotel is the sunbed towel fiasco where you had to get up at 6am to get a sunbed but most were not occupied by bums until 11am onwards and even until the afternoon! When you go on holiday you dont want to have to set your alarm! Also no pool towels. Top pool very very slippy pool side BEWARE!
I agree with previous reviews about evening time where you sat by the pool with no lighting and after a few nights we had enought and spent most evenings in the town.
We found the good nice and good choice for this type of hotel, staff were really good and always smiling and helpful. Rooms and hotel clean. Recomend the men to try a turkish hot shave in the salon there £4 and well worth it.
Wonder Bar up the road was a good plase to spend a pleasent evening staff really nice and very reasnoable.
Overall a nice hotel and observed staff very good with children.

wearrived in the early hours of sunday morning on the 26th june, myself my husband and two grown up children 17 and 20. the room was fine bit basic but you only really sleep in there, air conditioner was brilliant. There are too pool areas one quiet one more active we went to the latter as the quiet one was a bit boring. entertainment was quite good, not too pushy and friendly entertainers especially james and ozmen. music got a bit too much at timesbit loud and repetetive. Didn't bother much with evening entertainment as it was curtained of from main seating area, found evening seating area bit basic, not much atmosphere, felt like you were sitting in a shed and you had to drink from plastic cups as it was in the pool area! food ok dissapointed with the starters and the desserts didn't appeal to us but everyone has their own taste. very helpful reception staff , some freindly waiters but quite a few were bit miserable. very clean hotel, brilliant maid service came daily to change towels etc. Overall we enjoyed our stay probably would not go back as it was bit noisy for us loads of big family groups there that seemed to be constantly knocking on each others doors but the hotel was well run and ideal for families, its in an perfect spot, close to the beach and shops, we went to the mirage bar at the entrance of the hotel quite a bit ,the staff were great here and there was a lovely atmosphere.

We arrived here on the 17th june around 2 in the morning when we arrived we was straight to reception where we was checked in right away the bell boy took all of our bags of us as we traveled with 2 small children, when we arrived to the room we was a little disapointed there was a double bed single bed and cot couldnt swing a cat in there, not enough space to put all our clothes in the cupboard.
The bell boy stood around expecting a tip when you have 2 tired children and all you want to do was get in bed it wasn't a great start but hey he did carry all our bags for us so what did we expect.

The food was lovely to suit everyone one night they had a turkish night and had a great range of different types of meats to try just gorgeous, cakes were lovely to my daughter loved them. Ice creams you had to pay for and the internet wasnt free was 100 lira a week and the safe was 3 lira a day.
The entertainment staff were great with my daughter esp Heidi who played games in kids club and mini disco dancing and entertaining the kiddies was nice to see my daughter enjoying her self.
all in all our holiday was fantastic would recomend this hotel staff were friendly was really clean could eat your food of the floor it was that clean, maids in everyday with clean bedding and towels.

beware of the hotel hairdresses they just mither the hell out of you in the end i went and had my nails painted just to stop them for pestering me.
and theres a guy who does professional photographs really good we had quite a few done.

hotel is more for dutch than english but not a problem for me
all in all we loved our stay here and would return :O)

Really nice hotel. In a perfect location. We have stayed i 4star in Turkey before but this is certainly better than most (for Turkey). We went to the beach each day and just walked the few yards back to the hotel for lunch. On the beach you have a choice, two sunbeds and a brolly for £2 or free sunbeds but you are expected to buy a drink. There is a bar a few yards from the hotel THE PIG AND WHISTLE , you will get a warm welcome from Rudolph and Ali. They also show the current fooyball matches. Enjoy

Room Tip: A trip to the Stella Show and Majestic is a must

Myslef and my husband have just returned from a realy enjoyable 2 week stay here.

The hotel itself is very clean with nice gardens and staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Location - not far from the beach and plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby.

Rooms - Very basic, but clean - maid service daily and sheets and towels changed daily.

Food was good and plenty of choice. 24 Hour Bar service, but the drinks were very small measures

Entertainment could be better organised. Did not advertise daily acrivities and entertainment on notice board.

Overall very enjoyable holiday and would definately go back.
