“Dont go all inclusive....and there's never any beds!”
Reviewed 2 August 2010

The juniper hotel has a brilliant location, right next to everything you need, shops, beach, bars and pleasure nightclub right opposite, and it is also very clean. But these are the only good things about it. I travelled with my partner, and paid £430 each ALL Inc for 1 week, thinking we would atleast be able to stay around the pool and relax all day with our drinks and meals in, and occasionally going out to eat on a night(been on loads of holidays before and we know you get what you pay for but this was a joke)....This was impossable as there was never any beds as there was not enough to cater for the amount of people at the hotel, 47 rooms and 30 beds. A sign in the reception saying if you put a towel down and left it for more than half an hour it would be removed for someone else to use which is fair....This didnt happen, people were putting towels down during the night!....untill we found ourselves having to set our alarm for 5.30am to put 2 towels down.....to later have them removed by another family!...I was so annoyed that i didnt just do this myself instead of sticking the rules!...It caused friction by the pool with people, and you just dont need that agro and stress on your holiday. Needless to say the point was, that we paid all inclusive, but could never make use of it as we ended up having to go to the beach everyday, pay for drinks and eat out nearly every day. The food at the hotel was served at the sister hotel The Siesta across the road, but you could use there bar aswell. The juniper should not be all inclusive, as it doesnt cater for this. Every day the food was boiled lamb or pork in a watered down stew, chips and rice. Salad, and bland soup. Drinks were watered down at the juniper and served warm as they didnt have a fridge to keep the mixers cold. Drinks at the siesta were a bit better. Rooms had free air con because it was high season, but if you wanted the fridge to keep your suncreams/water etc cold you had to pay about £21 a week for this...remembering as soon as you leave the room and take the key out the electricity goes off, so your room is hot again when you get in on a night and the fridge hasnt been on so your water has gone warm again aswell!....The air con also leaked water onto the plugs so we had to cover the plugs with a towel untill it stopped.
If you go to this hotel, dont go all inclusive, and be prepared to have a fight on for a sunbed every morning.

Just returned from a fabulous two week holiday in the Juniper Hotel in Icmeler. The hotel was basic but newly refurbished, clean and pleasant. We had a problem with the shower and reported it, the shower was remewed the next day. The friendly helpful staff could not be faulted. i would recommend this hotel for its central location and clean modern rooms..

We got a two week deal All Inclusive to Hotel Juniper at the beginning of August for £500. I have been on many all inclusive holidays, so was not expecting an amazing hotel for that price. Unfortunetely our holidays started off badly due to the bus driver taking us to the hotel falling asleep at the wheel!! Once we arrived at the hotel at 6 am we were checked in. Staff were very friendly and we were let into our room straight away. The room was very dissapointing. It was very small and dark, 60's dark brown style. The bathroom was tiny and there was no windows. Though the room was kept clean every day by the lovely cleaning women ( she made our towels into heart shapes) the room was not the best. The pool was lovely though, not massive however big enough and there was a bar where you could get drinks thoughout the day.
The location was perfect only a walk away to the beah, shops, bars and not nosey at night.
Food was awful!! I am not a fussy person but i dont know how thye get away with giving people that type of food. We ended up in the second week eating out every night.

Advice- Dont go to this hotel however if you do, do not go all inclusive. Get a nice hotel self catering , and eat out, its so cheap.

Myself and my husband travelled to Turkey on 21st Jully 2009.. We had a very long night flight and almost two hour transfer to the hotel from Dalaman airport. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely young man that showed us to our room. The room was basic and compact really.. Double bed, side table, triple wardrobe, desk, fridge, direct dial telephone (1 lira a minute) and tele. Also air con unit. Bathroom was half bath with shower.. oh and balcony in every room.. To be fair we spent little time in the room so it was great for our needs. sheets were changed daily and same with towels. Meals were good.. plenty to eat.. rice, chips, salads, chicken, lamb, pork, stew, eggs, beans, fresh bread, vegetables and kebab night on saturdays with belly dancers.. Bars were really nice too having choice of two, drinks on tap as we were all inclusive. Two pools, very clean, plenty of sunbeds, pool table, internet.. All in all the town is lovely, beautiful at night down the canal and on the beach.. Turkish baths are really good but instead of booking one with an agent ask the staff as there is one just down the road. The beaches boat trip is lovely.. Don't do the Rhodes trip, you spend about 4 hours at passport control.. We really enjoyed our holiday.. weather was 43-49 degrees all week and 32 degrees at night.. Would not reccommend this hotel for children as there is nothing for them to do and the transfer is really long too. Brilliant holiday all in all and considering we only paid £300 pp we were very happy..
