We stayed in this hotel during October 2008, and what we would like to say is that it was a great holiday to chill out.
The type of room we requested ie sunny balcony, pool view, etc we got what we asked for.
The rooms were very clean and the staff attentive and polite.
My wife is veggie, and the selection that was on offer was extensive, one happy wife.
The amount of food and drinks from breakfast to midnight soup would satisfy the biggest grubber.
The pool area had adequate seating and sunbeds,
When we were there, there was a bridge tournament on ,but this did not cause any problems at all, contrary to what other people have said.
The sauna and Turkish bath are also worth using on your stay, you do not have to book a massage just go in and relax.
The bus service into Marmaris was cheap and frequent ie,every 5mins and only a 5min walk from the hotel.
We stayed in room 429 and the sunrise every morning was breathtaking .
This is definately the place to stay if you are looking to relax and away from the bustle of Marmaris.

Marilyn & Gary-Wales
Stayed at the L'Etoile for seven nights.
Having never fancied Turkey myself I relented to my wife's wishes.
I have never seen a location where everything from bars, beach and shops are at your fingertips.
The scenery around the coast is breathtaking.
As for the hotel-more of a three star than a four.
But who cares just a base to sleep.
Staff at hotel very friendly. Entertainment is what you would expect from an all-inclusive sometimes non existant.
The food at the hotel was very much the same as all-inclusives where ever you go. You won't starve.
For a change you must try the fillet steak in Cupids next door to the hotel. Muzzi and Fonzy will look after you and the place is spotless.
We have never seen so many hairdressers and jewelers in one place. As for the market on the Wednesday, don't bother you will get the same deals in the local shops with less hassle.
will be going back to this hotel in May or October 2009

just returned from a two week stay at the l`etoile, fab location just a few metres from the beach, good choice of food,if you could not find anything to eat here you would have to be mega picky. you could eat and drink as much as you liked including local spirits vodka gin raki wine juice tea coffee ,the list seemed endless. travelling as a single the only down side was the hotel seemed quite intimidating, but the restaurant staff found me english people to sit with, untill i met some people who i used to sit with regularly. the entertainment was not very good, a game of bingo took ages as it was called in five languages!. but the turkish night was good fun with belly dancers, braek dancers, folk dancers etc.The hotel staff were lovely, Niko, Isaac, and nihat also lily and mehmet head of dining room. I would definately go back to this hotel as you could walk outside and there was plenty of stuff going on in the bars, and restaurants. The lovely boys in artemis who used to give me coffee just to sit and chat with them, Tiger,Ekrem, and little chef Apo. All in all a pleasant holiday although the weather was a bit mixed, but didnt spoil our fun. great for couples and groups of friends also singles if your a bit outgoing and not fazed by the size of the hotel. lovely rooms pale wood floors, hairdryer, shower gel provided by the sink and shower, also pool towels if req for small deposit. you also get 25% discount at the cafe in front of the hotel , Pier 15.lovely to watch the world go by. will be back in this hotel definately.

My wife and I stayed at the L'Etoile between 16th and 26th September. We have stayed in Iclemer before, two years ago and loved the town, the beach and the many good places to eat out.
We stayed at the L'Etoile on an all inclusive basis because the 10 day (11 night) holiday appeared to be a good deal. In the main it was and the hotel was clean and well kept. There was maid service every day and the room was spotless. The bar staff and restaurant staff were great, ever helpful and friendly. The reception staff were less so, despite never being all that busy.

We found the food to be alright, nothing spectacular but plentiful and quite varied. In fact you could just about eat all day if you wanted to there is always somebody cooking something. The afternoon cheesburgers are particularly tasty.

Whilst we were there the hotel was very busy and there were occasional queues for tables and food however the waiters are ever attentive and if you go to the same part of the restaurant they soon get to know you and look out for you.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities in your room so take your own kettle if you want a late night or early morning brew. You are not allowed to take drinks from the bar to your room, a bit old fashioned in this day and age in a 4* hotel.

The pool area can get a bit crowded but we never had any great problem in getting a couple of sunbeds. The two young people employed to provide entertainment work hard but their never changing daily programme can be a bit monotonous. They do try hard and without any children to face paint practised on the adults! (We managed to avoid this embarrassment!)

The hotel is on the beach but the staff at Pier 15, which is the hotel's beach bar, do not provide any service on the beach, no great hardship but all the other hotels seem to do this. Your all inclusive status does not entitle you to food or drink from Pier 15. If you go along to the Cocoa Beach Restaurant, next dor, you will get the service of the irrepressible Idris Messi who will run after you all day (for a small consideration). The best meal we had all holiday was Fajitas brought to us on the beach by Messi, about £10 and we were stuffed!

Iclemer is still a nice town with an abundance of bars and restaurants. "Cupids" immediately next door to L'Etoile, is excellent, great food and friendly efficient service. The restaurant at Prince appartments, across the street from L'Etoile does an excellent breakfast (with real bacon).

We didn't do any boat trips this time but there are plenty available, all are more expensive if purchased from your holiday rep., they are the same trips!

If you want to go to the market on Wednesday then go early in the morning as by mid-morning it is mobbed and hell on earth!! Apart from fresh fruit and veg. there is little there that can't be purchased from the stalls around the canal.

Would we go to Iclemer again - yes. L'Etoile hotel - possibly not, for no other reason than this is a better resort to do B&B because there are so many great places to eat out.
