“Another great return to Julian Forest”
Reviewed 18 May 2010

We stayed 3rd-17th May for our 2nd visit to Julian Forest and it still impresses me, The weather again was faultless, Flexi-dine is a must even tho we did not use it last year(sorry). A new entertainment team from England are in place with a mixture of seasoned and raw talent, they have chris the crooner, kay the (oggy oggy oggy out out out) specialist, sammi the glamourous sound tech, Amy + Jay the get up and go duo, carol the elegant singer/dancer and not forgetting the dizzy dory the kidsclub queen. plus many others. well worth the trip and can not wait to return. paul + michelle Isaac

we travelled here on the 3/05/10 for 1 week with my husband and two children 12 and 15 years.
working in a travel agents i got a brilliant deal on this hotel and knew before going it had a brilliant reputation. the weather was perfect, not too hot. the entertainment staff are english, chris and kay and the others are brill, they got everyone involved and were a laugh.
yes there are wasps and yes after a bit they get on your nerves but it wouldnt put me off going back, nobody got stung whilst we were there and the staff bring over smoking pots to put them off whilst your eating.

the staff at this hotel are brill and will do anything to help you, very polite.
rooms are really clean, views are out of this world and so relaxing.
the slides kept my lads entertained and the games the entertainment staff did.
it is out of the centre but the dolmus stops outside and takes 5 minutes, dead easy. to be honest im glad we were out of the centre it was so much nicer.

please try the relax health club its lovely, the turkish bath is brilliant value for money, dont bother going anywhere else they will rip you off and are unproffessional. i spoke to people who had gone into marmaris and gave nothing but bad reviews.
i had mine on the first day which is the best way, the turkish guy who runs it is called can, and his partner is english they are lovley and will make sure you are totally happy with it, they will come and pick you up from other hotels and bring you here and drop you off, i have there contact details if needed.

cant wait to go back!!

Having not been on holiday for 5 years! i decided i needed a break before my first child was born ( went 5 months pregnant) which made no difference.
I went with my friend of many years ( janine 25, me anna 28 ) and we booked it 5 days before we traveled and got a brilliant deal.
The hotel is situated a 5 minute local bus ride into town which costs just 1.5 ytl and they run requently from just outside the hotel, you can walk and see the old town which is beautiful and quaint.
We hired a couple of bikes for 3 days at 50ytl for the both! and cycled to the beach which is not too far about 15 minutes from the hotel, or 5 minutes when u get off the bus in Ichmeler town or the bus will take you there but you will miss the shops and cafes which there are a lot of.
We stayed self catering and the rooms were very clean and spacious with a balony to eat your breaksfast from, we choose flexi dine which is really cheap and saves you buying in food, which is quite hard as the super markets are small and dont really sell anything of use ( can of english beans 3.5ytl! ).
The staff at the hotel were fantatsic, especially the head waiter who spoke brilliant english and was of great help, the reception was really helpful and very polite and if we had'nt have run out of money we would have loved to have left them a tip.
We advise if you want a turkish bath you go to the one at the hotel its a little more pricey but we paid throw a tour guide and went some where else and it was awful, we then looked at the hotel bath and its was much nicer and cleaner.
The sun goes down at the hotel about 6pm, but if your going into Ichmeler town for some food that doesnt matter, but you could also stay at the beach for longer as the weather at this time is still hot!!.
We went on a boat trip around the small islands of mamaris which was 6hours long it was cheap and included all drinks and a freshly cooked meal whch was delicious, you also have a chance to swim in the beautiful turquoise sea which isnt to cold either, i advise if you have young children don't go they will get bored! 10/10 holiday and Hotel!

I cannot boost the whole Julian Forest experience enough - beautiful location, if not quite secluded (which was nice) and not realistically within walking distance of the town, but efficient and cheap dolmus (bus) service right outside apartments until quite late at night. The staff, from restaurant to management, were exceptional - very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food is excellent and varied, and very reasonably priced. Superb entertainment each night and lots of entertainment / activites for children, who were looked after by specialist staff while parents could sit around the pool or eat in restaurant knowling they were safe. Overall a wonderful experience, which I would not hesitate to repeat.

We chose this hotel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and once again we weren't let down.
It was our first visit to Turkey and perhaps our lasting impression will be the friendliness of the people. I mention this because this was also probably the biggest plus of the hotel, that the staff went out of their way to assist and help. A little example of this was that my wife had a craving for coffee and cake. Perhaps surprisingly cake wasn't available on the menu. However within seconds one of the waiting staff appeared with his "lunch sandwich" box which contained cake, and offerred it to my wife.
The accomodation whilst not luxurious was acceptable and spotlessly clean (the sitting room furniture was particualrly uncomfortable)
The food again whilst not particularly adventurous was good and always prepared to order. The prices also compared favourably with resort prices, despite the fact the hotel could have used its "remoteness" to increase charges.
The location was well out of the centre of the resort and beach but within perhaps a ten minute £0.70 bus ride (we never waited more than five minutes for a bus), with Marmaris another ten minutes away for an extra £0.30.
The setting was fabulous, superb views and peace and quiet. Despite it not being the type of hotel we would normally stay in we would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to anyone.
The downside to the holiday was the exceptionally long process from landing to getting to the hotel (over 4 hours in total) and whilst you expect airport prices to be expensive Dalaman airport and taken this to a new level. In the resort a small beer and a coffee was around 8.5 lira. The same order at the airport was 26 lira

We have stayed at the Julian Forest since it opened in 2004 every year we say we are going to go somewhere else for a change but always end up back to our "second home"!

We have been there 9 times over the years and the cleanliness, friendliness and hospitality are second to none!
