We were recommended this hotel by a work colleague, it was our first ever time in Turkey and we were not disappointed at all.

My Initial worry was the location as it does sit almost alone at the very back of the Icmeler, this was not a problem in the slightest, we had the best of both worlds as we had the peace and quiet and the option to go into town, we never had to wait for a dolmus bus which stopped outside the hotel and at 1.50tl cost very little to go into town.

All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make your time there was enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, no complaints at all.

The restaurant had a great menu, with enough choice for both lunch and dinner. We decided after reading other reviews on Tripadvisor before we arrived, to go for the 'Flexi-dine' option which turned out (as advised) great value for money, please go and see 'Hakan' in the restaurant and he will sort all this out for you - you cant miss him, he has a constant smile on his face and always had time for a chat, even if he wasnt the waiter serving us! Gizem also really looked after us during our stay, she always made time to come and say hello and ask about our day/night.

We were very impressed with the entertainment team led by Cheif and Shrek who maintained their enthusiasm all day and night. They never stopped and we loved joining in the games - these games are only as good as the amount of people joining in, we made the effort they did to make our holiday fun - many didnt. On arrival we were slightly disappointed at not having a pool view but the entertainment team starts at 10am (with I have to say a great song) but as this is very loud we were glad we were side facing the hotel next door!

Make sure you have a turkish bath on arrival, ... this was so relaxing and gets your skin ready for the great tan we all got!

My 12yr old made loads of friends and i found the hotel very safe to let her have the freedom to roam around it, she loved the slides too.

There any many trips to go on, you will constantly get stopped in the town of Icmeler with people selling these, we did the boat trip during the day which was excellent stopping to jump off the boat, lunch and then we stopped in a small village called Turunc for a spot of window shopping and a beer.

We really did have the best time, and even after 2 long glorious weeks we didnt want to go home, but if I had to give negative feedback it has to be the usual ... reserving of sunbeds! If you didnt join in the early rise approx 7am you ran the chance of not getting a bed at all during our first week (arrived 27th Aug), or the beds with less sun the 2nd week. The hotel notices did claim towels would be removed but this never happened during our stay.

The wasps were a bit of pest and people got stung daily but I cant see how the hotel can be held responsible for the nature, and i cant say this spoilt our holiday just gave us all nervous twitch on anything that flies from now on!

We loved Julian Forest so much we are considering going back next year, we did hear a rumour the hotel may be half board next year - this would be the only reason to stop us going back.

stayed at the julian forest for 10 nights august 20th 2010,with friends and family children ages were 9,11,and two 15 yr olds the hotel is lovely and clean and food is good, hakan looked after us very well, we would recomend the flexi dine it is well worth the money.
There was all ways plenty to do around the pool if you wanted to join in. The entertainment was ok on a night time, but had great fun playing the pool games during the day.Went out for a few meals on a night time would recomend ,romanceand friends in icmeler, food great and so is entertainment.
Went to icmeler market which is on a wednesday and really good..
the only down side was the on site mini market should be called micro market didnt have a great deal of stock and what it had was a lot more expensive than those in icmeler also three of our party got ear infections from the pool ,my husband being the worst affected, having to spend four days in hospital.BUT I MUST SAY THIS HAS NOT PUT US OFF GOING BACK WE ARE ALREADY BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR FOR TOW WEEKS TAKING A BIGGER PARTY AND LOTS OF EAR PLUGS .

This was our first time in Turkey and didn't know what to expect. Julian Forest is very good. It's clean and modern. The staff are friendly. Air conditioning was essential, however, if you leave it on overnight, it does get cold. The location was great - secluded, but not isolated. Set in a quiet area next to mountains. It will take quite a while to walk to Icemeler centre - but the relatively cheap Dolmus (small mini vans) run regularly from the hotel to Icemeler and beyond and take less than 10 mins. The staff are fine. Local people are friendly. If you can help it, don't buy from the shop in the hotel - it's about 4 times the prices you'd pay in the supermarkets - and there are plenty of them in Icemeler. The closest supermarket is a pleasant 15 mins walk. Slight negative comment would be that the cleaner doesn't always sweep the floor and there isn't a brush/broom to sweep yourself. The pool is large enough and the staff do their best to put on entertainment. The BBQ night was good. What I liked was that the entertainment finished at a decent hour (11 to 12) which meant you could get some sleep. It's definitley child frindly. My kids (10 and 12 years) loved it. We felt safe and looked after. The massage at the hotel is a great treat. Icemeler isn't for people with mobilty problems as it is a little hilly. Haveing seen other hotels in Icemeler, I'm definitley glad that I stayed at Julian Forest. So if you are wondering / undecided and you have a choice - Julian Forest won't disappoint you.

There is not a single thing i can complain about, i've had a fantastic week, made all the better by Shrek,Zevo and Beyza the entertainment team and Gizem the lovely waitress, not forgetting all the other staff who were equally as welcoming and helpful. Wasps were a slight problem and I got stung once but that was the only downfall. The flexidine is excellent value for money and will save you a fortune in the long run. We got a four day pass and the food was great, different every night IE chinese one night bbq another turkish another then italian, You couldn't go wrong. The hotel was spotless and the rooms very nice. Try the buffalo bar in icmeler, Sugar, Nestle and their little boy Charlie are great, the beer is the cheapest in the area only 2 lira a pint and full english breakfast is 6.99 bogof. Turkey is not as cheap as it used to be. Icmeler is vey nice, the beach isn't huge or that fabulous but its a lot let hassle than marmaris, you are asked if you want to drink or eat but then left alone to decide yourself. Julian forest is well worth a visit and I will definately be returning there. Thanks to you all for making it a holiday to remember.

Our second stay at Julian Forrest & we where very dissapointed this time. The loud music blaring out from early morning until late at night really spoilt it for us, you could not hold a coversation. More like 18-30 club
Last time we knew who the manager was, he made himself known to the guests, the new one was invisible. The rest of the staff all except the female misery on reception where super & deserve a medal for having to work with the boom, boom you get all day.
The flexi dine is value for money but rather dissapointed in the English breakfast. The bacon was like chopped ham & pork fried.
The accomodation is spotlessly clean & the setting where they are is to die for. The wasps where a nuisance this time, last time we went in June & never saw one, but the waiters will give you something to help.
Would we go again, don't think so unless they stop the booooooooom

I Have read just about every review on here over the last year and to be truthful being the cynic i am, i was secretly hoping to find faults.

I did find a few but they were only niggles and were far outweighed by the good points

The staff were really great and they make you feel like part of the hotels close family, they are not pushy or intrusive, they are just there with smiley faces and a helping hand.

The entertainment was fine, not too much nor too little and shrek and the girls at the kids clubs were just great with the kids.

Again reception staff were spot on, they were on every request straight away and never let us down, they were tidy, efficient, and welcoming.

Other staff deserve a mention, most of the waiters and bar staff really were good, the photographer was excellent providing us with a set of beautiful photos wich will bring a smile to my face for the future, George the jeweller, alway on hand to provide a great deal and even cleaned my wedding rings to an exceptional standard for free, the lady in the spa, she knew when to be firm and when to be gentle, the spa was great value and should have its own review

We travelled with young children and a baby, they loved it and they were spoiled by the hotel staff, We really did relax there and thats the purpose of a holiday in my eyes.

Our Room was clean and spacious and nice and cool, with the cleaner in every day.

Niggles, were the wasps but you get over it, the distance it did sort of break the flow quite a lot and was my biggest disappointment (neither the hotels fault) and i used the laundry service which did not go well but again i have to take a bit of responsability for that.

Overall, we got far better than what we paid for and i would recommend this place to others.
To the staff at the Julian Forest, Thank you for a great holiday
