My partner and I had a great time at the miray hotel. The hotel is ideally positioned for the beach, shops, nightlife and restaurants.
We have travelled extensively throughout europe and the Caribbean and have always found you get what you pay for. The Miray is more than adequate for a budget hotel.
The manager Omer and all the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, acting quickly to address any problems that arose and always on hand for any local information that was needed. I found them all very welcoming and would gladly go back there.

Booked last oct, to go to elif, told in march this year elif closed put us in the miray 14 nights b and b, charged us £35 per week air con, not allowed to take food and drink to our rooms unless bought from the shop next door, breakfast was terrible and out of the 14 days we only had hot showers 3 times, pool to deep 1.5 m, been to icmeler 6 times this has been the worst holiday, previously stayed at the Blue Rainbow, Siesta and Fortuna Beach

we stayed at the Miray june 2010 and it was the perfect holiday! It is ideally placed for everything, bars resteraunts and shops. The hotel staff are more than helpful and the attached bar Blondies is an excellent place to unwind and have good food and drink. The manager Ali and all his staff are so friendly (especially little "Scooby") kath wanted to take him home!!
We would recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Have just returned from this hotel on friday .The hotel is clean & staff are friendly but don't book half board you are only allowed certain dishes off the menu ie if you like chicken then you are in luck because that is the main part of the menu that you will get you can have some pasta & soup is free!.If you want anything else you have to pay for it .We have never had to pay extra for half board in any other hotel we have stayed in someone needs to look into this. There prices do seem to be higher than some of the bigger hotels & restaurants why? You are not allowed to take anything to your room unless it has been bought from the supermarket next door which they own but again prices are higher there for water etc.If you don't want to stay up until 12am when the music has to be turned down then take some earplugs as you won't get any sleep This hotel competes with linekers bar over the road as to who can play music the loudest.Sitting having your meal you cannot have a conversation without shouting at each other. One other thing we must mention stayed there for a week & never had a warm shower yet tried different times of the day it was always cold so no this hotel is not for us

Thank you to all the staff at the Miray Hotel for making us so welcome in Icmeler.
We were greeted by Messute a very kind man who insisted on carring our cases to our room.
Nahide our maid was wonderful and her assistant also.
Our room was spotless and looked after each day.
All the staff in the supermarket next door were so friendly.
Blondies bar was an experience and the Turkish breakfasts so healthy. Staff were so good.
Only drawback was the noisey music at night but we got used to that and it stopped at midnight.
We will return again as we enjoyed our holiday so much.

everyone at the miray could not do enough for you , room spotless every day .the pool area small but could always find beds and shade. blondies (attached) where you eat (perfect english breakfast £3 ) turkish breakfast free, would not recommend half board.. the hotel is in a great position for all the entertainment and the beach .the restaurant we found the best was the majestic (on the canal) we had chinese food £8 for a 4 course meal and there was 12 different acts to entertain you after your meal . if you need to ask a question about icmeler tony from sheffield one of the managers is really great .

We arrived at 6:00 am after a 4 hour flight (SAGA airlines - basic but decent legroom) and then a 2 shuttle transfer (including a grand mystery tour of the back streets of Marmaris....!)
After signing in, we were led straight back out of the Miray - and across the street to a different, unnamed building, up 2 flights of stairs and shown a very small twin bedded room. The guy explained something about 'just for two nights - these rooms are just like the Miray's'. He gave me a room key and another for the safe - but I thought I'd just asked and paid £15 for the aircon? So it was back down to reception - at the Miray, for the aircon remote - which now cost another £35 - yes, I was sort of expecting this.... So, back to the room and tried to start the aircon - it seemed to blow out nothing but hot air - and then after 2 mins would just cut -out, so tried many different combinations of temperatures - but it always cut-out again ... by now I'm getting more than annoyed ... Took a look in the shower room - hoping to find some way of cooling down.. to find a very dimly lit cubicle with a green shower tray raised about 10" off the floor and smothered in white mastic, even so - after a taking a cool shower ( the only option), the floor was swimming in water. The toilet seat had a life of it's own and refused to stay up! It's now 7:30 am and I'm seriously considing taking a taxi back to Dalaman and the next flight home!! Breakfast was served at 8:00 , so we gave the aircon remote back to reception, and took a short stroll around Icmeler, before enjoying our Turkish breakfast of bread, feta cheese, olives and stewed tea. The aircon was fixed after this and the next day after much complaining, we were (reluctantly) assigned to a much better room at the rear of the Miray overlooking the pool. I had the impression that overbooking was a common occurance at the Miray, even though the manager was apologetic and blamed the online booking systems, and that an unexpected family had arrived before us, and he felt compelled to give them our room.
