My wife and I spent two weeks at this hotel and had a brilliant time. From arrival to departure we were made to feel like part of the family. All the staff were warm and friendly ready to make your stay one to remember. From managment to the cleaners, gardeners, entertainment staff, restaurant (Robbie Hasan Barrie) and most of all Aydin Sari who became a good friend. Aydin runs the Turkish Bath, hairdressers, massage, photography and tattoo (brilliant tattooist Pepe recommended). I would also recommend having a turkish bath at the start of your holiday to get rid of all the dead skin then you will have a tan that will look good and last longer. Speak to Aydin and he will advise you on all the services ( no pressure, no hassle) and most of all he and his staff will treat you with respect. Aydin is one of the mosy honest guys I have ever met. We will definitely be back. My wife Judy went for a massage six times during our stay so it MUST be good.

Stayed here for 11 nights, you should not be disappointed, lovely staff from cleaners to management, rooms cleaned every day, entertainment staff constantly working, waiters great fun too ( got to mention Robbie& Hasan ) they take the trouble to get to know everyone & make sure they see you befor you leave . All the staff work very long hours and are still smiling : ) kids are encouraged to join in the activitys
Bus to town is 150 lr ( 50p ) going to the market is a must ( everyone is a cheeky bugger ) they are sooo funny and friendly. I would defiantly return to the Grand Aquarium

Ditto all positive previous comments, great hotel and even better staff, special hello to entertainment staff (sorry cant spell your names!) and Robbie, Barish and Dancing waiter Charlie! Also hello to Aydan and thanks for recommending a memorable turkish bath, luverly! Our two children joined in all activities as did I when I had the energy! there is no pressure to get involved, just gentle persuasion. Our children (8 and 11) loved the freedom this Hotel gave them, small and safe. Food really fresh and tasty, far better than all inclusive in my opinion, no queuing and lovely table service. We loved every minute from beginning to end and will be back. Hello to the lovely friends we made Mike, Debs, Chloe and the Jakester! and Rachel and Amyx

Travelled as a Family group of 10,4 ex Gatwick 6 ex Manchester,5 adults 5 children.Age range
8-72.It seems a little pointless repeating all the previous accolades, but no doubt some one will find fault with the place.
The staff, pool, brilliant water shute, restaurant and bar were all excellent.Only minor gripe was size of rooms but you are not in them for long other than sleeping and the standard of cleaning was also top class.Hotel staff in the UK and many other countries would be put to shame!
We ate in several times and found food, service and price excellent be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The walk down to the beach and centre was a pleasant stroll in the evening with as commented Dolmus and Tacsi really cheap.Did not have a bad meal, for a real Turkish experience the Hanedan is well worth a try.We did not order starters anywhere and were always given no end of lovely different breads and dips. The local wines were all very good.Price wise found it much cheaper than UK,Spain or Greece.Yes you do get pestered by the waiters outside the restaurants, they all offer "a deal"but that is part of the experience.
Because the children, and adults were more than happy to spend the day round the pool we did not really explore the area other than a water taxi to Marmaris, probably ideal for the Ladies to do some clothes shopping.A real laugh on the way back when the boat slowed down and the crew proceded to trail fishing lines, they caught nothing!
Thouroughly endorse all previous good comments.First visit to Turkey, lovely friendly helpful people a really nice chilled out holiday. The only damage was to the bank balance due to infalted half term prices charged by travel co.If you look at prices at the Hotel it would pay to book direct.

Room Tip: Probaly higher floors and away from bar area.

We have not long arrived back from our trip to the Grand Aquarium and it was excellent, we have now been to the hotel a few times and will hopefully be returning back soon. The staff are so friendly and always entertaining the children. Hassan, Robbie, Barry, Sally are also all very friendly, nothing is too much hastle and they will come and have a chat. The food was absoloutly beautiful!!!!! Can't fault it one bit. Even if you are having any problems with your holiday staff will not hesitate to help. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, it is amazing and will definatly be returning.

We have been to Icmelar many times and are always pleased to get back there. This is our first stay at Grand Aquarium we could not fault it. This time we were with our daughter, grandson, brother and friend who all really enjoyed their holiday. The hotel was spotlessly clean as was the swimming pool and surrounding area, our Grandson loved the water slide which was safe as the staff were there to supervise at all times. In the bar Hassan, Robbie and all the entertainment team made us feel very welcome and were always ready for a chat and a laugh, the food was scrumptious!!.and not expensive. Special thanks to Sally as she was always on hand to make sure eveyone was ok and arranged for and accompanied our brother to the doctors when he needed medical attention. Aydin was always around for a friendly chat and had approached us to ask if we would like to go and look at the Turkish Bath Spa area and then we were left to make our mind up with out feeling pressured. My Husband and myself had the most luxurious Turkish bath and massage where we were treated with dignity through out, I would recommend this to anyone thinking of indulging. All in all we had a brilliant holiday and will definately go back. Mr Ruiz the owner introduced himself when he visited and spent time talking with the guests he was even there to wave us off as we were leaving. The Dolmus bus runs into town every few minutes and costs equivelant of 50p also the taxis are not expensive. All in all you are treated as friends in Turkey and we will be back !!!

Room Tip: we had ground floor rooms which was fine our brother and friend had upstairs rooms which were also...
