This was our third time back at the grand aquarium love it so much can't wait to get back everyone is so friendly and welcoming all the staff the entertainment crew, mr Ali, the cleaning staff are so helpful and polite and the rooms are always spotlessly clean and nothing is to much trouble for them and I must mention aydin the Turkish bath, massage, gym, hairdressers, photography, aydin and adem took some wonderful photos for us especially the sunset photos they are a must to have done we have got so many precious memories with the photos we had done and albums to treasure I would like to thank everyone at the grand aquarium for making our holiday never to forget but a special thank you to aydin and adem I hope they will br there next year because I don't think it will be the same and we will be thinking twice about coming back next year so many other families have said the same if aydin and adem are not there they would consider going to another hotel.

Room tip: Most of the rooms suffer with wi fi connection but the rooms are kept immaculate by the excellent cleaning staff

It would have to be an amazing hotel for us to go back to twice as we like to experience different places. This hotel is one of the better ones we have stayed in!

The food is excellent and plentiful, reasonably priced but a little more expensive that you would pay in the centre of Icmeler where there is more competition.

The apartments are on the small side if you are travelling with your family but was adequate for 2 adults and an 8yr old, any more and we would have struggled to be honest. However the maid was excellent and it was cleaned every day to a high standard and she even came looking for me when she found something I had left when we had to vacate our room.

The chair beds are very small and uncomfortable, not even suitable for a child BUT we were told in the middle of our second week that they would have removed these and put a proper bed in there if we had requested it, we decided it wasn't worth the upheaval so late in our holiday but it might be worth considering asking for at the start of your stay?

The only other gripe we had with the rooms was the position of the safety deposit box, I don't know if it's the same in other rooms but in ours it was placed at the bottom of the wardrobe which made it difficult to access.

All the staff were MOST of the time extremely friendly and helpful, the exception was Ayden (we called him Starsky coz he had a mop of curly hair.......showing my age now!). He was friendly the very first day we were there because he wanted to sell us his Turkish Bath..........however having holidayed in Turkey for over 20yrs we knew this was overpriced and declined........he ignored us the rest of the holiday.

The entertainment team were great, my son did not want to venture far from the hotel because he enjoyed the mini disco and club dance, the evening entertainment consisted of a mini disco at 9:30pm......then an act (belly dance, snakes, Michael Jackson etc.) or karaoke or a quiz......finishing off with bingo at 11:30pm. Through the day is Darts, Water polo, Aqua aerobics and killer pool...........A GREAT WAY TO MEET EVERYONE!

The waterslide is on twice a day which to be honest we all enjoyed! (not just for the kids).

If the sleeping arrangements were improved and we could pick up this hotel and place it nearer the centre of the resort we would definitely go back.........sorry but we like to have a wander and a look about and the location of this hotel is JUST that little bit out of the way.

Room tip: We had a ground floor room and it was great!!!

This was our first time in Turkey and the Grand Aquarium and will definitely be back. We arrived at midnight to be greeted by Ali who explained everything about the hotel. Then the staff took our bags up to our room while we went to the bar.
All of the staff were really nice and excellent with kids.(Cem, Aydin, Adam, Nani, Esmay, Sergio, Robbie, Hassan, Ali, Sally & all the bar staff)
Maids were in every day.
We got a turkish bath on our first day there, was a bit more expensive than other places but it was well worth the price as it lasted nearly 2 hours and you're not jammed in with loads of random people.
Aydin will look after you if you want anything done like massage, turkish shave, haircut, pictures & even tattoos. (The quality of their tattoos were excellent and very fairly priced, wouldn't use any of the shops in Icmeler for a tattoo)
Swimming pool is really good, has a water flume that comes on twice a day and also a Jacuzzi.
The food from Chef Errol was also really good. Big choice of food. (Different menu at night time, even more choice)
Icmeler is a really nice place, reminds me of Scotland but with sunshine.
The new mayor has put a stop to entertainment so Icmeler was quite quiet but it never spoiled our holiday.

Met loads of nice people and would definitely hope to stay again there soon.

This was our first time to this hotel and it was just me and my husband on holiday , where to begin though. Firstly the staff are fantastic Sally and Ali the management are absolutely lovely and cannot do enough for there guests and nothing is to much trouble for them, the restaurant staff also aim to please everyone and lastly but not least the entertainment team are absolutely brilliant and are always up for a great laugh and join in with everything. ( Big hands up for all the staff at Grand Aquarium ) The hotel for being a good few years old is very clean and well looked after, the greenery around it is lovely ( hence a TV in rooms would be good as that's the only thing missing in this great hotel) . The food in the restaurant I cannot fault at all and is absolutely lovely, beware large portions to and great for the bigger appetites. The location is nice and quiet and only a short stroll from icelemer centre. Would I recommend this hotel ? YES I would definitely, one of the nicest, friendly hotels I have stayed at and we met some great people there also on holiday . It's a 10/10 for us to everyone at the Grand Aquarium .

This was our second visit at the Grand Aquarium but on this occasion we had another family with us who had never been to Turkey. The Grand Aquarium is a family oriented hotel with family entertainment through the evening finishing off with a game of bingo for the adults.

The restaurant has a great choice of menu and portions are big so value for money the same two restaurant managers Robbie and Hasan are at your service every day and night and are extremely pleasant. The drinks are fairly cheap so you don't have to venture into town if your content on staying on site. If you chose to vist the town which is about 5 minutes away by taxi or bus. Just be prepared to negotiate the fair before the journey and don't worry if you have more family members than seats they will welcome you all on board,, . Icmeler is a nice town to visit and you should try the restaurants they all want your custom , the shops are all the same selling all the fake goods at very cheap prices just be prepared to barter.

The swimming pool is a meduim size pool that has a water chute that comes on a certain times of the day for all the family to have fun on no rules here all go down together. The entertainment team consists of three members ,Nanie, Esma and Sergio all game for a laugh and will try to get you and your family playing killer darts ,water polo, killer pool and water aerobics no matter what age your more than welcome to join in. Sunbeds are at a premium so be prepared to rise early and grab one, The rooms are basic however they were clean plus fresh towels every day both families didn't have no service issues with either of the four rooms that we booked.

The bits that need addressing in my oppinion is the Wi Fi is free but very weak and everyone struggles to connect to it. Each room is fitted with air conditioning however its only free for three hours every morning and three hours in the evening outside these times your required to pay around £30 per week. Even though they have a shop on site your not allowed to consume the goods that you have purchased around the pool area yet they don't mind you buying the same goods from the restaurant.

However all this said I would recommend Grand Aquarium to any families visiting Turkey
They have a sister hotel called Club Aquarium which you can visit with the hotels transport provided free of charge.
