“great apartments”
Reviewed 5 September 2011

arrived at 4am with friendly greeting, our bags were carried to our room for us top floor as requested, room was lovely and clean but very warm u have to pay for aircon and u need it! only down side is its only in the living room so bedroom door has to be left open in order to feel it. the pool is great on 2 levels and the slide is open twice a day so no big ques for it,major problem is sun beds unless u get up at 7am with your towel u will not get a sun bed!!! this might just b a problem in high season, staff are all very friendly especially astin always cheery and chatty, food was really good hear and very reasonably priced, there is a new system for paying at the bar with a wristband it is good when it works means not having to carry cash around the pool. we liked these apartments a lot and would highly recommend them they are set back from the resort up a small hill so nice and quiet, great view and only a small pleasant 20 min walk into resort no need for taxis which are expensive. so don't hesitate to book these apartments you will love them.

Room Tip: request high floor for great view

Got back from the Club Aquarium on 26th August, everything about these apartments is brilliant. They are spotlessly clean, plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 small children, but the sofa beds are small if you have teenagers. We had two rooms between 4 adults and we all had a great time. The staff are really friendly and are always helpful. Will definitely be going back. Tip - if you want a nice friendly bar on your way back from Town try the Garden, opposite Deja vu. This is a typical Turkish bar, family run and reasonably priced. Would recommend these appartments to anyone who likes peace and quite in a fab location.

For relaxation, friendliness, views, and overall holiday experience this hotel is the best! The greatest holiday we've been on in years, and we cant wait to go back! Definately recommend the club Aquarium.

Clean, friendly, lovely pool area. Ideal if your looking for a quietish hotel. No getting up at 5am for sunbeds or fighting for space in the pool. Really relaxing, perfect for couples. Brill hotel, would defo stay again. If your lazy probs not the best place to stay as it is quite a treck from the main resort/beach. Also have to pay for your air con, only free couple of hours in the day. Overall brilliant holiday!!

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Icmeler with beautiful views of the mountains around you then this is the place. However the rooms need updating. I can imagine the rooms would be a bit small for a family of four but it was just my husband and me so space was okay. We didnt use the kitchen so cannot comment on the facilities for this. The hotel is about 10 mins from main area of bars and restaurants. Unfortunately I fell ill during our holiday with pneumonia and when my husband tried to find out whether we could call out a doctor the reception staff member told him that unless i was dying he couldnt help us....great. Thankfully there is a wonderful english nurse on the hotel site that got us a transfer to the local medical centre. I was admitted there for the day and sent back to hotel on instruction to stay in the hotel rest of holiday (apart from going to medical centre twice a day every day for injections ouch!), was very thankful for balcony and views otherwise I would've gone mad with boredom! As the hotel was the only place we had food at for 5 days we had a fair few meals there. The food was tasty and big portions. We didn't really get to talk much with the rest of the staff there but they seemed friendly enough. I'm not sure we would stay there again as wouldn't want to be reminded of what a bad time we had due to my illness. Would recommend for couples to stay!

Small and friendly, great views, excellent staff couln't do enough to help, bar staff Yusef and Simon were brilliant and made our holiday. Kids loved the pool and the slide and the option of visiting the Grand was a bonus as the kids loved the slide there to. On the down side the rooms are a little dated but very clean, and beds were quite hard but it didn't spoil our holiday we loved it so much we will be booking again for next year. Perfect location, brilliant views, nice steady stroll into town takes approx 10 mins.

Room Tip: Ground floor in front of the pool

Club aquarium is lovely - the outside is very green (despite the fierce heat!) and the split level pool is great: there's always shade at the back of the lower pool, very necessary!
We were on the top floor - spiral stairs would make it awkward for those who aren't too mobile. The rooms are very small and compact - only 3 chairs inside, even though it sleeps 4 - but this is a package holiday, what do you expect? The balconies all overlook the pools, and the suburbs of Icmeler, to the sea in the distance. Rooms are cleaned daily - my daughter liked the different patterns in which the towels were arranged every day!
As Club Aquarium is 15-20 minutes away from the sea front, it's much quieter, and more suited to those who don't want to go drinking/clubbing until the early hours- the vast majority of guests were families with children, from 3 or 4 years old to young teenagers.
A 5 minute walk brings you to the first clutch of eating places: for us, the selection was disappointing, as most restaurants seemed to pride themselves on Sunday roasts, full English breakfasts, pizzas and pasta. There are "Turkish" places, but few and far between. Part of the fun of a holiday, for us, is experiencing the local food
and we did find a couple of good places selling kebabs, pides (like a Turkish version of pizza), and casseroles. There are several little supermarkets (including one called Asda - honest!), most of which will exchange money for you, and the rates were better than back home.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to booking trips and excursions - roadside stalls and little travel shops are everywhere. Have a Turkish bath to prepare your skin for a great tan (and take twice as much sun tan lotion as you think you'll need - it reached 47 degrees one day), the jeep safari is great fun, as is Atlantis water park (albeit VERY crowded) and a boat trip will keep you cool for a day!

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have great views and less foot traffic.
