“--- DO NOT GO TO THESE APARTMENTS ---”

Love Icmeler, but these are in my opinion, the worst apartments ever. Manager very rude and at times aggresive if you try to make any constructive comments about his apartments. Toilets in apartment(s) do not work. If you get a top floor apartment, every room has a sloping ceiling, and you cannot see over the balcony as wall is about 6ft tall. Told by managers wife that bed linen is only changed once a week, and you have to buy your own toilet roll. Have never met such an arrogant man as the owner of the Felizia.....

My daughter and I have just returned from our second stay at the Felizia Apartments in Icmeler. These are very much basic but spacious apartments, no luxuries here, but there again the price you pay reflects this. We decided to go to the same apartments again because of their location- within 400 meters of the beach and very close to shops, restaurants and bars, and because we knew exactly what we would be getting. Although supplied with the very basic kitchen equipment, I was able to cook breakfast each morning and produce two delicious evening meals on the two electric rings provided. These were thoroughly enjoyed on our large balcony overlooking the pool. The air conditioning does seem expensive at £40 a week but this was the same in Cyprus ( and only in one bedroom). Our towels were changed twice during the week we stayed and only one toilet roll was provided. I had no problem with this, as we always take extra towels and a toilet roll can be bought very cheaply at the adjoining shop. The pool area looked crowded and hot but Icmeler has such a lovely beach I think anyone who stayed in this area missed out on one of the major attractions of the resort. The restaurant located next door may seem noisy to some people but all noise from bars and restaurants is reduced considerably at 12PM (by law) We found the hosts to be friendly enough but we did not spend a lot of time at the apartment to really get to know them. I have read several bad comments about these apartments and can only say you tend to get what you pay for on package holidays and these were certainly one of the cheapest.

We recently returned from 2 weeks in Icmeler and we had a great holiday despite a few issues with the Felizia Apartments.

On arrival we were asked to pay £80 for the air conditioning and £20 for the safe – talk about daylight robbery!! We were aware that there would be a charge but this was double what we expected and on checking with other holidaymakers found that they were paying around £50 in total at their accommodation. We also spoke with our holiday rep who confirmed there had been numerous complaints about this.

The Complex is in a good central location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, although the noise from the Pleasure Disco may be heard in some rooms until 4am.

The apartment itself is very spacious but the bedroom is the only room that benefits from the aircon – so beware if booking for more than two people!! The cleaning standards were below par, the apartment was properly cleaned once during our stay. The maid did come in every day but only to empty the bins and make the beds. The sheets and towels (one bath towel per person, fabric softener free) were changed only three times in the fortnight.

On arrival we had to go out and buy toilet rolls and soap as they were not provided. There was always hot water but the shower was very poor, only about 7-10 holes in the shower head actually let water through and the temperature was impossible to control. We eventually gave up and used the taps and a plastic jug to wash which actually worked quite well.

Ali and Gemma the proprietors were friendly enough as was Efe the barman/handyman but as a result of the extra charges, we decided not to give them any more of our custom and spent most of our time elsewhere so we cannot really comment on the bar/pool facilities.

Security is very good, only one entrance/exit (past reception and the bar), there is a night watchman and surrounding walls and hedges are all covered by CCTV.

The Felizia did not impress us enough to want to return there, in future we will try one of the far better apartments nearby. However with a few simple improvements the Felizia could be a nice place to stay instead of just adequate.

we have stayed at felizia several times. the staff are indeed friendly with lovely children, Emma (Emmel) the owner can appear fierce but take time to get to know her, her hubby ali is helpful and jolly for most of the time. Keep a running total of drinks at the bar, the staff will help you to do this, ask if you can initial the "tab" after every round of drinks. They will accept payment per round if you prefer. If your patio doors do not lock, then ali will try to fix them,. but they have excellent cctv coverage and on site security so not really a problem.
