Have been coming here for several years now, and I'm not sure I'm happy about this, but the restaurant is going upmarket. There are new glass topped tables and new chairs. There's a television and loud music (takes away some of the traditional feel of the place). However, the food is just the same as before and has to be the best barbecue food in the area. How they produce such succulent lamb and chicken on such a small BBQ is a mystery. The chips are just the best and the salad is perfect. (One portion of each is enough for three people). They are the nicest family, service is excellent and they seemed to be much busier than last year (could be the revamp). One day we also had a take away salad which was superb (packet service as they call it in Turkey). They also have free wi-fi.

We ate here a few times during our two weeks there in August. All the food is fresh and the meat is barbequed. Their 'English' breakfast was actually the best out of the local restaurants at 10TL, and they are happy to provide a Turkish one if you ask. No frills but recommended. They also offer free WiFi :-)

We returned to Ovacik this year and had to go back to Serdar Restaurant. We were not disappointed. It is a simple restaurant run by Serdar Coskun and his wife and has been updated this year with new tables and chairs and a TV screen for Sports. However the food is still as good, cooked on an open-air barbeque beside the restaurant. The menu is not very large but the food is excellent, with lamb and chicken kebabs and I had a lovely chicken sautee. The food prices are very reasonable, even by Turkish standards.
They have made a concession to the Brits by offering an English breakfast, like just about every other restaurant in the area.
I would certainly recommend this restaurant very highly indeed

We've eaten here many times over the years and were delighted to do so again this year. As other reviewers have said, it's a small, family run, roadside restaurant where the meats are cooked barbecue style in the open. The salad and chips are excellent (we find ordering one portion of each is enough to share between two).

A previous reviewer asked where to find it.... From the petrol station at the end of Ovacik, it's in the direction towards Hisaronu, past the road where the Leda and Leytur hotels are situated and then on towards the downhill bend and it's there.

A very traditional Turkish restaurant where all the meat is cooked fresh in front of you on a BBQ!.

The salads are the freshest and finely cut I've ever had, and although not a chip lover myself, his homemade skinny chips are the best and you get loads.

Exceptionally fresh, exceptionally tasty, and excellent value for money, no frills dining experience but spotlessly clean.

Local family and very, very welcoming, this is what made turkey a place to visit, situated directly opposite The Duman Hotel at the Fethiye end of Ovacik ..... You won't leave hungry or out of pocket, and I bet you'll return again and again.
