Ive recently returned from our first family holiday, we have a 1 year old son. From the moment of arrival the staff made us feel so welcome and doted on my son. A lovely clean hotel with friendly warm staff. You just couldnt ask for more......

As for some reviews talking about the distance to resturants and bars i think they must have walked the long way round. Yes the hotel isnt in the middle of hustle and bustle but who wants that. It take 5 mins walk to the closest resturants and even less time to walk to the nearest shop. It take 20 mins slow walk to the centre hisaronu or you could get on the bus. Yes the hotel is on a hill like mentioned in other reviews but it is walkable (my father who was with us who has bad knee could manage).

In short if you want to relax on your holiday but with the option to go to more lively areas this hotel is for you.

My wife and I have been going to the Ovacik region of Turkey for about 14 - 15 years, and have stayed at various places. However about 10 years ago we heard about this new Hotel called the Celay which we decided to try. Since then we have always stayed there as we find the Owners very warm & friendly. All the rest of the staff are also extremely hospitable and welcoming. They are always very courtious & polite, but without overdoing it. The Hotel & rooms are extremely clean & tidy. Beds are made up every day. The main pool is one of the biggest in the area, with an adjoining kiddies pool, as well as a 'jacuzzi' pool added for this year. Gardens are well maintained, with a grassed area and slide for 'younger' guests to enjoy. Food is of a very good standard with a mix of european, as well as turkish cuisine. If anyone is wanting a quiet relaxing holiday this certainly ticks all the boxes, as we are always sad to come home - yet feel very relaxed ... then look forward to returning.

A short walk from Hisaronu but miles away from the bars, restaurants and english breakfasts in terms of class. The staff are friendly and willing, the hotel obviously well run. Spotlessly clean with the most lovely gardens and fabulous pool you can't go wrong picking this hotel. We ate in the hotel both at lunchtime and in the evening and the food was without exception beautifully presented and delicious. Can't wait to go back.

My partner & I spent a week at the beginning of May, we were their first guests of the season.

We found that the owners Ayten and Celal very friendly and most helpful, together with the rest of the staff.

The new block is great, together with a great bar area and large swimming pool.

Would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Myself, Husband and our daughter have just got back from a 2 week stay at the Celay hotel and loved every minute of it. The staff are friendly and cant do enough for you. The food was wonderful and rather classy and we choose to stay in most nights and eat on the sunset terrace overlooking the mountains. They have just had a new luxury block of apartments built so we went in for a nose and upgraded straight away! We would recommend this hotel to family and friends definately and cant wait to go back there in september.

Just returned from the celay hotel, and wished i'd booked for 2 weeks, instead of 1.Celal and Ayton were wonderful hosts, and couldn't do enough for us.We were fortunate to be the first guests to stay in the new extension, and what a credit to the owners, just fabulous!!.All the staff were very polite and friendly,Orhan and Unda deserve a special mention,as does the chef,i'm quite a fussy eater, and enjoyed every single meal.great location, just on the edge of town,so not noisy at all, with everything just a Dolmus ride away.My best recommendation is that i'm already planning a return trip later this year.

I was a bit wary travelling to Turkey with a teenage (16yo) daughter after some of the horror stories i had heard but they were (mostly) unfounded. From polite taxi drivers, to dolmus drivers and the staff at this hotel they were all lovely, friendly and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in returning and i wish I had something booked back for a return NOW!!..true value for money, fab clean pool, free sun loungers, the staff work incredibly hard for the owners and are very very helpful and welcoming....i cannot speak highly enough. It is situated just a 20 minute walk into the the main (nearest) town of hisonaru, or you can get the dolmus for a very small fee or a local taxi for not a lot either. the hotel staff will call you one for free as they have a hook up link behind the bar. You can also get to the local markets by dolmus or further out into ole deniz. Two minor complaints if I had to put them down would be THE HEAT LOLOLOL!!! it is amazingly hot but it turned out we were in the middle of a heatwave when we were there (far better than rain and of course its nobodys fault the weather!) The second is a more genuine complaint but nothing to do with the hotel. It was at a local market that I was harrassed and swore at because i wouldnt buy a bag! it did unnerve me somewhat and it put me off the markets a little bit. Just be firm with them is what I have been told and I would be if I went again. I think it felt worse as I was a lone parent. anyway cant rate this hotel and the holiday enough so if i were you i wouldnt hesistate!!!!
