“Does what it says on the tin - extremely well”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

Cambride House is an example of an increasingly rare genre - an unfussy, comfortable, relaxed B&B. The location is superb - right on the seafront with fantastic views of the beach and pier, next door to a smashing pub with good food and great selection of beers and an easy walk to everything else in Cromer (it's not a big town, but has its own charm nonetheless).
The owners are friendly, local, unobtrusive and helpful. The beds are woozily comfortable. The breakfasts are first rate - made to order, including really good porridge. And those views......
We went for a weekend-away-without-the-kids and it was spot-on, we felt relaxed and comfortable from the moment we arrived.
Highly recommended if you want somewhere straightforward, comfy and relaxed, which is exactly what we were looking for on this trip. With hot water bottles and blankets we were wholly cosy despite the dramatically wild weather outside.

Room Tip: We had first floor room at front which was lovely, and great views.

We stayed for five nights in February. The room on the first floor is just fab. The breakfasts were a delight. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming. When we left they prepared an early breakfast and then drove us - on very cold winter's day - to the railway station. The location can't be beaten and the price was very reasonable. But you have to accept that because this B&B is on the seafront, in winter the wind cuts into the bedrooms on very cold nights - tho hot water bottles, good covers and heaters keep the worst at bay. Recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for first-floor sea-facing room.

What a find! This B&B was rightn on the seafront next door to the red lion hotel. We has a family en suite room on the first floor which had a stunning view of the pier and seafront. The room had everything you would need and was spotlessly clean. Liz the owner was very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. What more could you ask. Rate was £80 for the night for he 2 of us.

Liz & Ian are great hosts at the Cambridge House. The warm welcome was great on a freezing February night...its how a B&B should be.... The rooms were clean and warm and the bed really comfy. The views of the Cromer coast were great and it was nice to go to sleep to the sounds of the breaking waves ...Breakfast was great and Liz was determined to make sure we had our fill. Is it the Ritz? no.. but it shouldn't be... it should be left exactly as it is and be proud of it...

This was my third visit to Cambridge House, and it is just perfect. The rooms are spacious and airy, the decor wonderfully in keeping with the property.
Comfy beds, super bathrooms and the place is absolutely spotless.
The views are stunning, the location perfect, the breakfasts without peer, and the host wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Ian

Room Tip: Roome two and four have bay windows with stunning sea views.

This is a lovely homely building with a comfortable family atmosphere. Our room had a lovely sea view and a HUGE bathroom and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the owner - she even offers to pick us up from the railway station and is very helpful with my multiple food allergies. We've been a couple of times now, and this is firmly on our list of places to stay in regularly. At first I was put off by the fact that it is next door to a pub, but it made no difference to our stay at all and certainly wasn't noisy as I had feared.
