A great place, most importantly very dog friendly with a bed, bowls and treats in the room ready! Our room was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful and the food super for both breakfast and evening meal. Well woth a visit.

Our first visit to Cromer and The Red Lion and what a lovely hotel! A lovely welcome at reception and the room didn't disappoint. We stayed in room 14 which over looked the sea and pier so can't grumble about the view! Bathroom was really nicely finished with a bath. Breakfast was faultless, beautiful Full English and a buffet with home made granola, cereals, yogs etc. The only slight grumble I had was that the wifi was useless, very little signal so I just used 3G on my phone which worked fine! Would stay here again if in Cromer.

Thank you for such a lovely review, we are having the IT technician out this week to look at the strength of the WIFI in the hard to reach rooms.

Glad the rest of your stay was good :)

This the third time we have stayed here, was an excellent location for Cromer Town. Lovely comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated. The breakfast was really nice and we had a really nice meal in the evening too. Would also recommend sister restaurant overlooking the pier.

Red Lion, Cromer

My wife and I recently walked the Peddars Way/Norfolk Coast Path UK National Trail, starting just outside Thetford and finishing in Cromer. We'd booked the Red Lion in Cromer as our final B&B, hoping for a little luxury after a 6-day walk. We were not disappointed. We had Room 9, billed as a superior room, and apart from all the usual stuff in the room, there was also a couple of easy chairs and a small table where we could rest our weary feet (not on the table!), place our glasses of wine and look out to the sea and the pier while ruminating on the walk. The room was comfortable and the crab salad downstairs in the restaurant that evening was excellent, washed down with a decent beer.

Breakfast in the morning was also very good with one of my favourites, kippers, on the menu.

All in all, a good pub/hotel with no faults found, not by us anyway.

2nd time staying at The Red Lion Hotel....and will no doubt stay a third and a fourth!! Stayed in a lovely room over looking the sea which was tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable and clean, but that is to be expected from a pricey tariff , although we were happy to pay it as we were there on a special occasion. The breakfast was plentiful with friendly service....although we visited elsewhere for dinner, as we personally thought the food looked slightly overpriced compared to other local pubs/restaurants. Had a nice 'touch' with providing us with a 10% discount voucher to use at their 'sister Italian' eating place a few hundred yards away.....would have been nice is residents of the Red Lion were also offered a discount if they chose to dine at this place of stay??? Over all, a lovely stay, with very friendly and welcoming staff :) worth a visit!!

Room Tip: I would recommend paying that little extra and have a sea view room

This is a small, well run hotel right on the sea front at Cromer. Some free parking, caring and helpful staff. Superb breakfast - great choice and plentiful.
Our room was attractive and had a delightful sea (and pier) view.
My wife and I have not stayed here before - we shall certainly be returning in the near future. We will eat in the restaurant in the evening next time - it looked excellent.

We had another brilliant weekend in Cromer at the Red Lion. The room had beenrecently redecorated and it was like home from home as the new bedroom furniture was the same as ours at home ( obviously good taste) The breakfast was very good my husband had the eggs benedict and said they were very good. The evening meal was very nice but i do think it is a bit pricey but well cooked and served. I would recommend this hotel and will hopefully be going back for another weekend very soon.

Room Tip: Room 5 is avery large room at the back of the hotel very nice, but i love the rooms with a sea view
