Just back from a 2 night stay in Cromer at the Sandcliff Hotel. Its in a great location being on the seafront but only a short walk into the town, about 5 minutes, for the shops, restaurants, etc. We booked this hotel as we had tickets for the Christmas Spectacular & Winter Wonderland events in Thurston, but Thurston tself and the surrounding villages are very small with very few guest houses and little to do, which is why we chose somehwere a bit bigger, and very pleased we were. It took us about 20-25 minutes to get to and from Thursford and Cromer itself gave us plenty to do. The hotel is a bit larger than your average B&B having 25 or 26 rooms, we were on the first floor in a family room although there was just the 2 of us. It was large, clean and warm with a great seaview. The bed was huge and very comfy, which is not always the case in B&B's! The ensuite was modern and very clean, a bit small but adequate, also plenty of towels, again this is not always the case with B&B's. Breakfast was good, the usual cooked breakfast with a choice of full english or poached/scrambled eggs on toast, boiled egg and soldiers, etc as well as cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, toast tea and coffee. There is off road parking at the hotel as well as roadside parking, so we didn't have any problems in that respect. Its also worth mentioning that there are rooms on the ground floor, and also a stairlift to the first floor so they may be able to accommodate older people or people with slightly limited mobility. All in all an enjoyable stay and we will definitely look to stay here again when we come again for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular.

just back from two nights stay ,have to admit when we first pulled up outside was a bit disappointed but once through the door it was like a home from home warm and friendly good food clean and plenty of everything.Would definitely go back for the good value offered and the friendly staff. But please mr owner paint the outside you could be losing business that you well deserve.

Room Tip: second floor at front lovely views of the sea

Just back from 2 nights in one of the twin rooms downstairs. For me it was much better then I was expecting. The room was clean including the bathroom and shower. Nice fresh quality towels and plenty of toilet rolls and soap / shower gel. I know these sound trivial but they all add plus points. The person who met us at reception was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and again good quality pillows. I often take my own but these were really comfy. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. I did hope poached eggs were on there as a choice with the full English but I didn't ask. Anyway I came away very happy with Cromer and the Sandcliff hotel. Btw great walk to Sherringham along the costal path... I would use again.

Room Tip: Walk to cromer or maybe West Runton also the pier show we saw "The ELO Experience" were top quality and the pier was a good night out.
