Sandcliff Guest House

Sandcliff is in a great location only a few yards from the cliff and just a few more into town. Staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are modest but functional and clean. I particularly appreciated the free wi-fi service. The breakfast was one of the best you could wish for and lives up to their boast of great home-cooked food. Definitely would use again.

I often stop here when working in Norfolk. It's a really friendly and comfortable hotel so I had no hesitation in staying the weekend with my partner when we fancied a few days away. Fran and the staff are as friendly and welcoming as you could wish for and the girls who work in the dining room are very polite. Hats off to the chef too who produces a consistantly good breakfast.
Our room was clean, roomy and warm. The en suite had recently been tiled which made it nice and light. The shower had a nice sized cubicle. The bed was very comfortable and there was a good selection of duvet, throw and extra blankets to customise your sleeping preference. The furniture in the room consisted of a double wardrobe, several drawers, a good sized desk top and a couple of chairs. There was tv, tea and coffee, biscuits and a hairdryer. All you need really. There's free internet and it's nice and quick. Breakfast had a good selection of drinks and cereals and a good selection of cooked items to cater for most needs.
In our opinion Sandcliff offers a comfortable, friendly stay that is superb value for money. I know I'll be back again and I'm sure me and my partner will be visiting again in the not to distant future.

A very comfortable stay , large room with comfy bed , heater only just big enough to heat the room so left it on most of the while we were there .
Very clean room , bath room could do with a heater and hook for dressing gowns .
Furniture could do with up dating , sticky drawer .
Good breakfast and good service .Would have booked for evening meal but they had stopped doing them on 29th of Nov but had not updated their web site to that effect .
Would not class it as a luxury hotel but comfortable and clean and tidy andwe were looked after well .

Rooms very cold due to insufficient heating. Afer cancelling the last night, because of bad weather (snow and ice) and having to travel abroad, they still charged me for the night.

For what we paid was worth the money, lovely staff and got anything we needed. Peaceful night sleep, and had heating in room and the breakfeast was lovely.
Bad points decor was little poor in rooms, and carpet in toliet that we had to share, because we were unable to get a ensuite.
