“Good facilities”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2011

The 2 bed apartment was in good condition with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. The leisure facilities were very good (pool, sauna etc). A good base in Norfolk.
Site unsuitable if mobility problems as on hill and very steep. Check in at 4pm too late, and check-out at 10am too early.

Just returned from a 3 night break in a Studio -it was spacious and spotlessley clean.
All of the staff from entering reception to restauarant/ bar were very friendly and professional.
Normally during the day we decide where we are going to eat out at night, but decided on our first night to try Amber the on - site restaurant. We were not disappointed -ambience with candle light on all tables, background music, menu choice and good prices, good service and presentation and nicely cooked food all made for a good experience and the 7-8 Happy Hour was a bonus !
Enjoyed pool/sauna/steam room facilities after a busy day out and before evening meal.
We decided to eat on site for all three nights as the menu had plenty of variation,
and it was good after being out all day to come back up at tea time and park up for the evening. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment.

Lots of places to drive and visit -we enjoyed Sheringham and Holt in particular.
As it had been donkey's years since we went to Gt Yarmouth we also decided to go there,
it hadn't changed much and we enjoyed our time there -we decided whilst there we ought to try Harry Ramsdens for fish and chips and actually queued for a table which we wouldn't normally do -what a let down -food at Cromer Country Club was much better and a lot cheaper.
Although it didn't rain there was a very cold wind blowing throughout our stay, which stopped us doing the cliff top walks and bbq's etc. Would definitely go back a little later on in season and would recommend to anyone

Visiting parents for weekend at the Cromer Country Club. They had stayed all week and were happy with their clean refurbished accommodation with gorgeous sea views although my Dad, recently turned 80, did comment it was done in an old fashioned style & they would have preferred something more modern. The weather shone fine, we did a lot of cooking in the galley kitchen. Parents reported restaurant changed hands 4 years ago & not as good as it was. Eat in the Sea Marge.

We wanted a centre for a few days walking, cycling and site-seeing, but also with a fall-back in case the weather was poor (in fact, it was excellent). We stayed 3 nights, 30/3/2011 to 2/4/2011 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We booked direct and paid £75/night, which we felt was the right price for good quality, self-catering accommodation. Our room (a one-bed apartment) was clean and well-equipped, and very warm. The facilities, especially the swimming pool and gym, were excellent. The food in the restaurant was good, well-priced and there was lots of choice. Without exception the staff were very courteous and helpful. So, all in all, a great stay and a destination we would recommend to our friends.

This was our first visti to Cromer Country Club, hopefully not the last, and we had a 2 bed and 2 x 1 bed apartments, going with extended family members. We were there on the February half term and after a six hour journey were greeted very cheerfully by Catherine in reception.

The 2 bed was very warm and inviting and even though we had the heaters on most of the time during the day/early evening the electricity bill for the 5 days was only £3.42!!

Son and husband and brother in law spent all day Wednesday in gym, swimming pool, playing badnminton, table tennis, soft tennis and pool - all for free!! While me, sister, mum and aunyt went down into Cromer its self to wander around the shops.

Apartment very well appointed with downstairs bathroom/shower, large lounge/diner and kitchen filled with every utensil you could think of. Upstairs two spacious bedrooms and shower room.

that was room 71, the one beds were equally well equipped and tastefully decorated and were numbered 68 and 91.

Can't wait to book again to catch up with Norfolk relatives

when its packed but not when its got FOUR people in ! Steam room /Jacuzzi out of bounds for under 16's and can't have a drink by the pool ! not even in a plastic cup ?in a designated area , Spent nothing on site ,Result ! Think a little bit of Common sense is in order !

We have stayed here previously and had issues but thought we would give it another try. Again we were sadly disappointed. The hot water taps were very dangerous. The taps were supposed to be mixers but the hot water came from one half of the tap and the cold the other half!! The shower was the worst we have ever had with dripping water. Forget washing your hair!! It was always cold as the heating never managed to warm the downstairs. We were extremely disappointed with the fact that there was only one tv in a two bedded property.
On the last day we asked if we could stay till 11 am (as it was Saturday and maybe we could have a lie-in) the staff on reception were totally unhelpful (stating in your 'terms and conditions of booking check-out is 10 am'!!) . ps check-in is after 4 pm!!! They were rude and had no idea about customer services
To put the icing on the cake when we checked out we were asked to pay for a phone call which we had not made. When I asked them for the number, we were supposed to have called, they said they did not have the number but would cancel the charges!! There were four of us in the property all with our own mobiles so had no need to use their phone.
If you want a relaxing time away, with a bit of flexibility, do not choose this property you will be sadly disappointed. They want your money without providing the service that we deserve as their customers.
