“Warm welcome with excellent service!”
Reviewed 28 June 2011

Just spent a few days here and have nothing but praise. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food excellent. It is just minutes from the town and beach and buses available to Norwich and other lovely Norfolk towns such as Sheringham, Hunstanton and Wells.

Plenty to do in the area and a warm welcome awaits you at the Virginia Court.
Well done to all the staff!

Wanted a mini 2 day "holiday" and picked the Virginia Court from the internet .Very nice hotel, the rooms comfortable & clean. We had a large bathroom which is unusual in a lot of hotels. We ate both nights in the restaurant and were very happy with our meals. The beach and shops are a short walk. Would certainly advise anyone going to Cromer to stay in this hotel

I had been a tad suspicious as so many existing reviews were by individuals who hadnt reviewed any other hotels but i neednt have worried - this is a great hotel - staff so friendly - breakfast gorgeous (I had pancakes- husband had kippers) - room spotless and this really is the best street in town . Very good value and although walking around town in the day we didnt think we would be likley to come again - once we had had dinner in the excellent ' Williams' and a drink in the Red Lion next door- we will be back to Cromer! Next time we will have dinner at the hotel as we got great reviews from other guests that dinner was lovely and great value to get the B&B and dinner package. Lovely framed pics for sale on walls too - all round great hotel.

Whilst staying in the area on our honeymoon we came across the Virginia Court and ate in their restaurant on the Saturday evening. This really is a high quality experience for a seaside hotel/restaurant and we would recommend you pay them a visit if you are going that way.
We shall most certainly be going there again on our next visit at the end of May.

This is a comfortable hotel with very good food and wine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Short walk from sea front and amenities. Plenty of parking.

From the moment my wife and I arrived, until the moment we departed, we were well and truly looked after. The staff were genuinely caring and attentive at all times and nothing was too much trouble. Clean, warm, comfortable and well equiped rooms make this one of the best hotels that we have stayed at. The food is excellent, being of the highest quality, well presented and plenty of it. The whole ambience of this hotel put's it in a class of its own and being so rightly called, the best hotel in Cromer.
It has a large car park and is situated close to the town centre and sea front.

Reviewed 28 December 2010

I spent four nights at the privately run Virginia Court Hotel with my family in December. The stay exceeded all of our expectations in terms of the hotel itself, the service from the staff and the enjoyment of the outstanding meals.

The Virginia Court Hotel is situated in a residential road lined with grand Victorian homes. The Hotel was originally built as a private club house in the early 1900’s and retains much of its character from that era. Although in a quiet location it is no more than a 5-7min walk to the center of Cromer or to the sea front. The location is excellent for relaxing at the hotel but being close enough to walk into town for shops, bars and the Cromer Pier. My room was up to the same standard as the photos on the Hotel’s official website. Clean with comfortable beds and crisp linen. A good sized bathroom and plenty of provisions for making tea and coffee in your room. Free high-speed wifi available in the main common areas and can be picked up in some bedrooms. The hotel has a large dining room, sitting room and bar room on the ground floor – all of which are newly decorated, clean and comfortable. The owners are investing in further upgrades to some of the rooms for the 2011 season.

The quality and variety of the meals offered at the Virginia Court Hotel is exceptional in terms of presentation and taste. Local produce is used in preparing the meals whenever possible and the breakfasts and dinners were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our group. If you do not stay at the Virginia Court Hotel but are in the town on a Sunday you should consider booking for just their Sunday Lunch.

The owners and their small team of dedicated staff are focused on ensuring you have an enjoyable stay at the hotel. Friendly and professional service with a willingness to ask and ensure you are always happy throughout your stay. Overall very good value for money and well deserved standing as the top hotel in Cromer. I will definitely go back to the Virginia Court Hotel on my next visit to Cromer.
