“Very very good, but not quite excellent...”
Reviewed 9 August 2011

The Virginia Court is in a lovely residential street and first impressions were very good. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. And the breakfast was superb. Our (standard double) room was spotless and the bathroom modern with a shower that was suitably powerful. BUT...and it's quite a big but really...the standard double room is tiny which was a huge disappointment at the price we paid. We'd probably revisit but would (slightly begrudgingly) pay extra for a larger room.

Nice hotel, but they don't get everything right. Room we stayed in was quite small, as was the double bed which was also quite soft. Bathroom quite small and bin had not been emptied when we arrived. GIven the prices, I would have expected better. Dinner and breakfast are very good and very good value. Friendly staff. Lacked a managerial touch, perhaps as the owners were on holiday at the time.

Enjoyed a relaxing two days here and ate in the hotel on the second evening. Very pleasant room and bathroom with excellent shower. The breakfast was also first class, and the evening meal was very good with special arrangements made so that we could have Cromer crab. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. One of the few hotels we would definitely want to return to.

Everything here is excellent - owners and staff are friendly and very helpful.
Food again excellent - we enjoyed some beautiful breakfasts and dinners -
menu choices and qaulity of produce used could not be faulted.
Bedrooms are as shown on photographs - modern and spotless. Good quality
pillows and comfortable beds.
The owners of Virginia Court Hotel have got it right!! Well done .
You must taste the gorgeous home made preserves served at breakfast - especially
the carrot and cardamon preserve and at dinner the Cromer crab dishes!!

Just spent a few days here and have nothing but praise. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food excellent. It is just minutes from the town and beach and buses available to Norwich and other lovely Norfolk towns such as Sheringham, Hunstanton and Wells.

Plenty to do in the area and a warm welcome awaits you at the Virginia Court.
Well done to all the staff!

Wanted a mini 2 day "holiday" and picked the Virginia Court from the internet .Very nice hotel, the rooms comfortable & clean. We had a large bathroom which is unusual in a lot of hotels. We ate both nights in the restaurant and were very happy with our meals. The beach and shops are a short walk. Would certainly advise anyone going to Cromer to stay in this hotel

I had been a tad suspicious as so many existing reviews were by individuals who hadnt reviewed any other hotels but i neednt have worried - this is a great hotel - staff so friendly - breakfast gorgeous (I had pancakes- husband had kippers) - room spotless and this really is the best street in town . Very good value and although walking around town in the day we didnt think we would be likley to come again - once we had had dinner in the excellent ' Williams' and a drink in the Red Lion next door- we will be back to Cromer! Next time we will have dinner at the hotel as we got great reviews from other guests that dinner was lovely and great value to get the B&B and dinner package. Lovely framed pics for sale on walls too - all round great hotel.
