“History on the Wall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013 via mobile

Food atmosphere were awesome. Service was good for a lage party also, even though the spaced was a little cramped. I loved the wallpaper, it had tons of historical facts about the town.
The only drawback to the restaurant was the music from the "bar"side. Very loud and it made it very difficult to speak to my dinner party.

“Great atmosphere, service and food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2013

I recently ate at David Todd's while on a business trip in the Morristown area. I chose this restaurant after doing research on Trip Advisor on a good place to dine with my colleagues. This place was great. They greeted us cordially, our waiter was on his mark and the food was terrific! I will return there any time I'm hungry and in the area!

“Great food, wine and service!”

We have had the pleasure of enjoying several excellent meals, just hanging at the bar and attending the monthly wine tastings. Each experience has been fantastic. Can't wait to bring our friends in a couple of weeks!

“Sadly unimpressed - and a little annoyed.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013

We were so looking forward to a great dinner with another couple. We arrived at the bar and the bartender looked pissed off and aggravated that he had to make us drinks. Dropped $100 at the bar, but no one wants to go out after a rough week and deal with that. Annoying. Get another job.
Had 7:15 reservations and were seated at 7:30pm....but when we got to the table of 4 there were only 3 chairs. Then we were served water and sat and sat and sat. We had to ask if we had a waiter. Then 2 of us had no silverware. Just little things, but not expected and we started to form a bad impression of this place.
Appetizers were ok. Scallop entree was very good (4 of them). Fish was overcooked. We ordered dessert for the table...a salted caramel mousse. It was the worst thing the 4 of us had ever tasted. It looked unappetizing as well. It looked like old piece of wonder bread sitting in watery chocolate sauce. Stale? The waiter laughed when we all said it was inedible. The topper was that we ordered a glass of wine after having an $80 bottle and it came with about 1 inch of wine in the glass. We had to say are you serious? It had about as much as wine in it as my empty glass. $420 later plus $100 at the bar...not worth it. Was really let down. Won't return.

“Our favorite place in Motown”

Eat here once every two weeks and it never disappoints. Show up about 5-6 and get some great appetizers for $5. Great drinks also.
