My wife and I were headed to a show at the Mayo Community Theater in Morristown on a warm Friday evening. We had time to eat nearby before the show started so decided to go back to an old favorite, Provesi. Like many other very good restuarants of all types in Morristown you can bring your own wine (or beer, I suppose). They also gave a 10% discount for people like us that were going on to Mayo.
There is a relatively new large parking garage close to Provesi that makes it super convenient to drop into town and roam around, which more and more people obviously do.
The restaurant was starting to get busy at 6 PM but service was still very good, the waiter assured us that we would not be late for the concert and we weren't. My wife had a chicken dish with prosciutto, asparagus and cheese and I had the rigatoni Bolognese special. Both were very good. They automatically serve freshly made, warm small loaves of bread that are irresistable. The biggest problem with the bread is eating too much.
Being a BYOB and with the 10% discount, the bill was suprisingly low for the two of us.
We will definitely be back at Provesi in the future.
