Great almost boutique hotel. Had a quee size room. Bathroom was huge, almost bigger than the room itself! Great for business travel. Hotel restaurant was very nice, food looked good ( but find not eat there). The bar choices, especially for a scotch drinke, weyee impressive. Rates were fair. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night while attending a concert at Mayo Theater in Morristown. Fifty year old hotel completely renovated by Westin in a beautiful and historical suburban setting, less then two miles from charming Morristown. We booked through expedia. Cheapest rate was for a double but the very friendly front office staff offerd a king at no extra charge as we were only staying one night and it was available. Room very clean with all sorts of high end amenities. Bed was FANTASITC. Did not want to get out of it. Fine gym and lovely bar. Did not eat there as there are so many fun options in Morristown. Compilmentary Shuttle service in to town was very helpful as we were planning some pre show drinking. Driver also offered to pick us up ten thirty-ish, even though service officially is over at 10. Gym was more not huge but all high end machines. Highly recommended for weekend getaway.

Nice hotel, perhaps not up to the typical "Westin" standards, but still clean, with nice new rooms and nice amenities. Not surprising that it's not over the lop luxury since it's located in Morristown, which is well into the suburbs. Service was impeccable. Pricey, but still the best option in the area.

We recently stayed at the Governor Morris Westin Inn in Morristown, NJ. We were attending our Nephews wedding. What a wonderful stay we had. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable, as were the pillows. People at check-in very friendly and helpful! The wedding itself was just beautiful. The event staff very friendly, Ballroom just beautiful. The cocktail hour on the Promenade Level was just perfect. Wonderful idea having a farewell brunch for all of us out of town guests the next morning. Was nice to see everyone again to say good-bye. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in the area!!!!!

We just spent one night (Saturday, August 9th) at the Westin Governor Morris en route back to DC from a two-week trip to Quebec and Maine. I selected the hotel based upon my familiarity with it in its pre-Westin days (when it was known simply as the Governor Morris Inn), and also because I am extremely partial to the Westin brand as a frequent spg guest.

The Westin Governor Morris lived up to my memory of its previous elegance, and it would seem others are equally impressed with its quality: upon entering the very spacious lobby I saw a large notice indicating that the hotel was hosting no less than 6 weddings over the course of the weekend (thankfully only one the night of our stay - !). We arrived promptly at 3 pm, check-in hour, and was told a standard room was available but that if we preferred a larger, upgraded room, one would be available in 30 minutes.

My family and I chose to wait the additional time and simply relaxed in the very comfortable lobby area, which was full of sunlight and smelled lovely due to the prominent arrangement of flowers on the entry table.

The room we were ultimately assigned (327) was quite spacious with ample room for this family of four for one night. The bathroom was similar to other Westins I have stayed in although it lacked the generous counter space characteristic of the brand -- but I think that's because the room appeared to fall under the "accessible" category. That said the amenities, towels and very plush bedding were all excellent Westin quality.

I used the gym, located on the first floor next to the elevators, on two occasions and found it clean, bright and with a good variety of machines.

My husband and I had a drink at the hotel's Blue Morel bar, which was quite relaxing; the price was $20 for (both) a 6-oz glass of Sauvignon Blanc and Tom Collins, but that is typical of high-end hotels. The bar did offer wine in 3 oz servings as well, which was a nice touch (but after a 6 1/2 hour drive I needed the larger size - !).

Our sleep was delayed a bit due to the evening's wedding, which was held on the second floor, however the festivities did not go on unduly late, the "noise" was completely understandable (congrats to the lucky couple!) and when we did fall asleep, everyone slept well. I would recommend, however, that if noise does bother you, that you request a room on at least the 4th or higher floor (the hotel has a total of 7 floors) should your stay coincide with a wedding receiption.

All in all a great choice of hotel for anyone in transit between DC/northern Virginia and New England.

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor (ideally 5, 6 or 7) should your stay coincide with a wedding recept...

Our stay was just one night so cannot speak in detail about service. But overall we had a positive experience. We ordered a crib online which was waiting for us in the room. The beds were 'heavenly' literally. Lovely but pricey restaurant downstairs. We were passing through on our way to upstate NY. Cute town.

After selecting the venue for our daughter's wedding, we looked for a near by place for our family and friends to stay. Although we had many choices, we selected the Westin Governor Morris. Their event staff was exceptional, the location perfect, the amenities superb, and the price extremely competitive. Even though there were many events, both corporate and family going on at the time, they made us feel as though we were the most important. The team at the Westin have mastered the art of hospitality. Our guests took full advantage of the facilities and services, the Westin team worked with us to get several buses full of guest to the wedding ... at exactly the correct time! ... and back. Our after party was exceptional and the farewell breakfast one of the best we've attended.

Without exception or reservation, we highly recommend the Westin to families who wish to make a treasured event like a wedding perfect. They were truly a pleasure to work with.
