“Not bad”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Staff are generally attentive and good. Food is ok, not fantastic but not terrible either. Some of the dishes are a bit weird but overall a reasonable place to eat.

Lovely chilled and friendly atmosphere with enough comfort food to fill any hungry traveller, my personal favourite is the burger with bacon & cheese

“Brilliant”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Perhaps the best bar/ restaurant in Stortford. I have visited Baroosh many times with friends and colleagues. Can't fault it in any way. Always felt very welcome and staff, managers have always taken a very good care of us.
I personally am a big fan of their nibble menu and cocktails. Definitely best place for cocktails in town.
Would definitely recommend it!

“Nice atmosphere”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

We've been here a few times now, always at lunchtime for a quick lunch and a drink or two. The thing we most like is the atmosphere and the surroundings. There is a nice buzz and it's a nice place to be, but it's not too busy/loud. Food is OK, reasonably creative with variable execution but not been unhappy with the food up to now (and I am a bit of a foodie). Reasonably priced. Decent selection of wine without being overwhelming (the wine list is structured for those who haven't spent months learning their grape varieties etc, which is a thoughtful touch) + there is a selection of around 3 well-kept (if a little chilly) real ales, which keeps me happy. Service is friendly if a little slow. One of the better places in a town that is served mainly by chain restaurants and curry houses.
