Friars Farm
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Myself and my daughter stayed at this gorgeous B&B for 2 nights this week with a friend and her 2 children (April 2014)
Upon arrival the children were delighted to discover the zip wire in the front garden! They didn't set foot inside for an hour! The friendly and lovely Catherine welcomed us with tea, flapjacks and squash for the children! Unexpected and hugely appreciated! We were shown to our rooms which were charming and well equipped with toiletries, soft towels and tea/coffee facilities.
The breakfast is brilliant! Tasty and vast! Cereals, toasts, breakfast trifles, cooked breakfast, fresh tea/juice/coffee and at a time chosen by you!

We would wholeheartedly recommend this delightful find!

45 minutes from Colchester zoo where we spent the day - a jam-packed day and a terrific zoo! We also visited Tip tree jam factory/museum/tea room which was roughly the same distance/time away, charming and a nice place to spend an hour or 2 (inc having a cream tea)

Room Tip: Very flaky phone signal/Wifi - You can plug in to their internet or use the wifi from the kitchen...
