“Memorable Meal”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We visited for an Early Bird Meal which was superb and excellent value for money considering the quality of the food and the presentation. The staff were very attentive but also friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The surroundings are stunning

We went to the Moat House the other week, just for a drink. It is about a 20 minute drive from us and is a truly beautiful location. The ales are reasonably priced and when we have eaten here, the food has been of a good quality. In my opinion (moved to the area one year ago), this is by far the nicest location around. If the sun is shining, sit outside and enjoy the pond view. There was a heron there too the other week. All the food was looking fabulous still.

As a family we have visited the Moat House on several occasions and have always experienced exceptional food and drink with the most attentive service you could wish for. The grounds and hotel are stunning and the restaurant is beautiful with a lovely ambiance, perfect for special occasions or that special meal. The staff cannot do enough for you but not in a smothering over the top way like some hotels and restaurants.I would highly recommend anyone to visit the Moat House to enjoy this fantastic hotel and restaurant !!!!!!

We have stayed here and eaten hear on several occasions. The hotel is located in a very great place with outstanding surrounding. With Swans and ducks swimming in the lakes. The rooms are excellent and the food in the bar and the restaurant are very good . The Staff , what can I say , service is second to none and is of the highest standard. We have come to know some of the restaurant staff , Andrew Richard and Ian who are very friendly and helpful.

We use this wonderful hotel whenever we can. If we do not drive there from our home in Suffolk we moor our Narrowboat on the canal bank opposite. We have considerable hotel experience both in UK and abroad. This hotel is simply hard to better. The staff and management make it. The rooms are superb as is the food. Well worth a visit. We are NEVER disappointed.

Room Tip: All are good. If there is a wedding perhaps a room away from the party is sensible-but even then not...

Stayed here for one night after attending the driveme experience nearby and couldn't have stayed anywhere better.
Excellent hotel grounds with well manicured lawns surrounding two duck (swans) ponds to the front and the Stafford and Worcester canal 5 metres away at the back.
good sized room which was clean.
The bed was very comfortable as well which usually helps.
very good food and choice in the restaurant which was not cheap but expected for the quality of food and service.
Where else could you get a photo with Geoff Hurst to boot as he was also staying here attending a golf event nearby.
If this place is good enough for the only footballer to score three goals in a world cup final it's good enough for me and mine!

Room Tip: Ask for one at the back of the hotel overlooking the canal.
