We stayed at Eagle, the cabin about 1/2 mile down the road from the others. It's the original cabin where the owner used to have a spa. With a covered hot tub, king size bed and double shower, it's ideal for a romantic and luxurious stay after a hard day's hike on Mt. Ranier.
Not that you should ever need it, but there's no air conditioning and the heating is supplied a gas fireplace - a romantic surprise when the thermostat-controlled fireplace clicked on early one chilly morning.
For the wired-in crowd, there's no cell, wireless or regular TV service, but the flatscreen over the bed is connected to an on-demand service that offers a wide array of movies. You can get wireless at the office and at most area restaurants. Cell service was hard to come by.
Stormking is one of many cabin communities that dot the road leading into the park, but it appears to be a cut above the others.
