Friendly, helpful staff, clean, spacious room with fridge and microwave, good breakfast, free Wi-Fi. The free evening glass of wine was a gracious touch, and the lovely view of green space out our window was complete with a grazing deer one evening. Beautiful photos of Mount Rainier decorate the rooms and halls, a nice touch. We loved this place! The only drawback, and maybe this is just me--the bed was firm to the point of being uncomfortable.

Room Tip: There's no elevator to the second floor, so if anyone has access issues, you'll need a first...

The hotel is close to the Mt. Rainier Park boundary. This is the reason we stayed here. The rooms are clean but the lighting is rather dark. The couple that run the hotel are very nice and were helpful with all my questions. There are few places to stay close to the park. This is one of the better places.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Mt Rainier. The lodge was very attractive and the main room had a gas log fireplace surrounded by sofa and loveseat for end of the day relaxing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with egg, sausage, gravy, biscuits, yogurt, cereal, etc. The dining area was very small but food could be taken to one's room if necessary. There is also a laundry if needed.

Room Tip: If one is sensitive to noises, I think an upstairs room may have been a bit quieter due to creaky fl...

Stayed here over memorial day weekend. We arrived to no electricity but the staff was so friendly we couldn't complain. They lit the fireplace and offered flashlights to get around. It was nice to be disconnected from the world. There is no cell service up there but there is WiFi when the power finally came back on the next day. Honestly though I didn't mind. They have a mini fridge in the rooms and offer a warm breakfast to hold you over on those morning hikes. Conveniently located near the entrance to Mt. Rainier. They have maps, menus, & other reading material and knowledgeable staff to answer any questions for those adventurous travelers. The walls are pretty thin so if we do go visit again I would recommend a room on the second floor.

Room Tip: Second floor! We heard the people on either side of us throughout the night. So ask to see what your...

My family booked a night's stay here for the President's Day weekend. We were going to go sledding and snowshoeing at Mt Rainier. However, the weather was abysmal - too stormy up high, and the road to Paradise was closed; and down low at Longmire there was almost no snow and it was raining in sheets. Our family trip was cancelled within minutes of arriving at the Park, and there was no use staying overnight as the next day's forecast was the same. I went to this hotel and asked the manager if I could cancel my reservation for that night - she said that it was "no problem" and let us out of the reservation with no hassle, no fees, and just a smile. I will definitely do business with this hotel on my next overnight stay in the area! As far as I could tell from the outside and the lobby area, the hotel looks well kept.

We stayed here on December 31, 2013. Our stay was absolutely wonderful, the rooms were very clean, just painted, with new beds and everything. The management was absolutely great and helped us above and beyond... I will stay here again and will recommend to my friends and everyone else I meet to stay here also.

Room Tip: Clean and quiet.
