Disappointing to have gone on Sunday recently only to find the whole pool not just two lanes cordoned off were for laps. I like to swim freely but far too crowded. If they recently refurbished where I did not see it and more to point spending £2.5 million on what?.. The changing rooms were ok. Smelled of dirty nappies and urine. The kiddie pool was closed and only scheduled to open for an hour twice that particular day but not at the time we were there so children were in the adult pool in the corner because go the "lappers"... Diving boards were shut for the entire time because they were allowing laps on the diving side. What's the point of this pool when it seemed like a day out for the the elderly and the entire pool seemed to cater to what wanted. Hence laps and a social hour! Will not be back

The pool is heated but not bath temp warm like the outdoor pool at Stonehaven. The day we visited there was a bit of drizzle but we still enjoyed it.
There has obviously been a lot of time and money spent in bringing the facility up to date especially in the changing area. Hot showers, 20p hairdryers, decent sized changing cubicles and lockers.
It is lovely being able to see the river too from the pool, and get a hot drink from the vending machine when you needed to warm up.
Would recommend.

We are 4 school friends in our early 60's and decided to take a trip to the outdoor pool at Gourock
we had a fantastic day.The heated salt pool has great views, and was not to busy, It was well worth the visit. The weather was very warm and we were able to relax at the side between doing lengths in the pool. Go on give it a try, you know you want to.
