“Cosy and very comfortable - perfect for exploring Snowdonia.”
Reviewed 6 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Four of us stayed for 3 nights at this cosy little cottage. Wished we could have stayed longer! It is in a great location for local attractions. Everything we needed was provided. We would definitely recommend this cottage as a wonderful place to stay.

“Bryn Awel (long weekend)”
Reviewed 25 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We had a fantastic weekend at this traditional Welsh cottage it surpassed our expectations & was the perfect base for us to go out and explore everything we like about Wales , countryside & activities oh & also some proper Welsh weather , there was nothing better than to be able to come back to a cosy cottage & dry off by a lovely wood burner with a glass of wine which had been left for us by Anne & Colin Thank you guys for sharing your cottage with us & making our stay a perfect one .

“An idyllic location and sweet cottage”
Reviewed 15 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Set in the beautiful location of Penmachno (quite literally surrounding by rolling hills), this cottage is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a few days. With no phone signal or wifi, you really can switch off. The cottage is quite cold but we were provided with fire wood and plenty of heaters, blankets and even hot water bottles! It is well equipped with good kitchen equipment and extra blankets for the bedding. The bed was really comfy and it was lovely to wake up to bird song.

The cottage had Sky TV and a good selection of DVDs to choose from. There were also plenty of books on the bookcase.

We spent most of our time walking the hills and visiting the falls around Betws-y-Coed, which, in itself is a lovely little place to visit for a morning or afternoon. We didn't venture much further because we didn't feel that we needed to, but the cottage is also close to the A road so it's easy to get out and about.

Anne was a very helpful host who provided full instructions and information prior to arrival. She even allowed us to arrive early on our journey down because the weather was poor.

No doubt we'll be back again.

Thank you so much for your review.
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you might be able to return sometime.
We are sorry that you found the cottage to be cold. It was a particularly stormy weekend and we do hope that the heaters, woodburner and blankets helped you get cosy and comfortable.
We are in the process of upgrading the heating which will make a difference for next winter!
Thanks again.

“Perfect for us”
Reviewed 13 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We were a group of 4 friends and were delighted to spend a Saturday night there. The place is really cosy and Anne and Colin had everything prepared for us to enjoy our stay. When we got there, we found the fireplace ready to be just lit! Thanks a lot!

“We felt at home.”
Reviewed 6 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Anne was extremely helpful and easy going from start to finish. Everything was perfect at the cottage, we felt at home instantly and didn't need for anything all weekend.

We really appreciated the little touches such as the Welsh cakes and the hot water bottles, as well as the "big things" such as comfortable furniture and logs for the fire.

We would definitely stay again.

Thanks Anne

“Fantastic cottage”
Reviewed 4 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

I stayed here for one night as I was hiking snowdonia y garn. It's was a fabulous day with snow on the summit. The cottage was the most perfect end to a perfect day. The log burner was amazing and the welcome gift was a massive bonus. The cottage had everything I needed and it was so clean. The owner was brilliant and was available to answer any questions I had with speedy replies. Definitely going back March and April and may. Perfect location for snowdonia. Thanks again.
