Such a beautiful cottage in the picturesque village of Penmachno. Lovely and warm, clean and has everything you need. Lots of walks, bike tracks and only a short drive or bus to betws-y-coed and surrounding areas. It's had wifi installed since our last visit which is great. A fantastic place within the heart of the Snowdonia national park. Honestlty cannot fault anything and I would highly recommend to anyone. Also close to local Pub!! :) Thanks for a great weekend and we will be back very soon...
Annes place was in a great location, situated in a cute little town surrounded by hills. As it was snowing a lot when we arrived, we had a cosy day in with a wood fire and popped into Betws y Coed for some groceries which was close by. The house was exactly the same in the pictures and there was a large selection of great DVDs that we used. Great for a little getaway and not far from Snowdon. I would recommend the place if going to Wales and you would like to stay somewhere cosy but close to other attractions.
I visit snowdonia often and I would recommend this cottage to everyone. . It's a fab cottage. .. in a fab location. .. with a fab host... it has everything you need it's like a home away from home.. and the little touches that anne does are just what you need after a hard day hiking or shopping or sight seeing. It's perfect for all. I wI'll be staying there again and I would recommend to all to stay. The log burners are fantastic to come back to and relax in front of. Beautiful cottage in a stunning location in the best place I Wales.
Had another amazing stay here again. Nice and warm despite very cold weather outside. We had the log burner going on the evening just for that extra bit of heat and it the cottage feel that extra bit special.
Booked again for the summer. Would have no hesitation recommending this cottage any time of the year.
Thanks again to Anne and Colin for a fantastic week away.
We have just come back from our extended weekend in North Wales and our stay at Bryn Awel Penmachno, Conwy. We had a lovely time and it was especially nice as this is the first time since we were children that my sister and i went away on a break together. Bryn Awel is a lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need provided by the owner, who very kindly left us a bottle of wine, biscuits and Welsh teacakes on our arrival. The cottage is clean and tidy, lovely bedlinen and towels provided. The location is ideal for visiting Betws y Coed where there are numerous places to dine or heading further afield like llangollen and the Ponctysylite Aqueduct and Canal. Beddgelert is also well worth a visit and if you fancy a cream tea then do head for the Tearooms in Llanrwst. We would certainly make a return visit to Bryn Awel where at night time you will clearly hear the owls calling to each other. We would also recommend the cottage and area to our friends.
Not our first visit to 'the cottage', and definitely won't be our last!
In the past we've visited Portmeirion and Betws y Coed, but this time we ventured north to Llandudno. It's surprisingly close and well worth the trip.
The welcome gift of milk, butter, welsh cakes and Bara Brith was a wonderful sight.
Roll on next time.
ME and my sister's had a lovely time staying in the cottage, the views where amazing, thanks for letting us stay, the town was beautiful, the only downfall was no WiFi but we bought some for our stay so it wasn't to much of a problem thanks again for letting us stay.
