this website is very deceiving the rooms are so small you can hardly turn around. you have to move the table and chairs to see the tv. it was dirty and smelled. it was the biggest dump. there is no parking to speak of. I was very pissed when I saw the room. the room in the website pictures are the "suites"...if you can call them that. there was a ring around the tub, a pile of dirt in the corner of the bathroom, the mattresses obviously needed to be flipped. everything was very cheap and they didn't even give you little shampoos. all the locals we talked to said that place was the worst. and they were right

Room Tip: don't stay here

This was our first trip to the Mt. Rushmore area and we hoped to find a nice place to stay which was conveniently located to Mt. Rushmore Memorial, Custer State Park and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Our hotel was in a perfect location. The parking is a little limited, but having additional parking across the street was very helpful. The staff at the front desk were efficient and courteous, especially a young lady named Beverly. Our room was clean and the private patio/deck gave us more space to relax and read. There were several restaurants within a block or so. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Suites on higher floors with enclosed balconies are more spacious and gives the guest more of an out...

We had reservations at Battlecreek Lodge, but when we arrived were told we had no room. We stopped at Washington Inn hoping they may have something last minute. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was good, and the room was clean. I was a little stressed about carrying our luggage up to third floor, but was happy to see thay had an elevator.

Front office staff very professional. Rooms nearly new with Reefer and Microwave. Parking is a little tight as they are on a small lot, but right next to downtown. No coffee in room, but carafe is provided and they have great coffee in the room. Room was clean and AC was running when we entered the room. WiFi worked fine also, and there were many brochures in the office. If you can get in here, this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: We go for bottom floor, the back bottom corner are good as they are out of traffic

Check-in turned out to be a bit difficult since the girl's English was hard to understand. The room was rather small with two queen beds. They both were placed against the wall so that the person sleeping next to the wall had to climb over the other one in order to get in and out. The toiletry supplies were rather skimpy. No shampoo, vey small and thin tissues. Television was the old bulky style. Also, this facility does not offer complimentary breakfast. The parking turned out to be a disaster. Spaces are very small. Some inconsiderate jerk parked his car so close to ours they we could not open the driver's door. After several failed attempts to contact the owner, we had to crawl in from the right side to move our car. We definitely will NOT stay in this place again.

The Mt. Rushmore's Washington Inn is an excellent place to stay in Keystone. All the front desk staff, Terry, Anna, Beverly and Britny, were most helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and they accommodated our request to be on the main floor. Walking distance to downtown Keystone. Lots of good eating places right in the lodging area. At their suggestion we stayed for the evening lighting ceremony at Mt. Rushmore that was a highlight for us of the sight. They gave us accurate directions and recommendations for continuing on our trip. We would recommend to anyone to stay here. We definitely will whenever we go back.

For the price we paid we thought we would have a nice CLEAN room with towels...no. We had no towels in our room for 2 days...we told the staff and they gave us towels like it was a big deal...very rude staff. We had a dirty coffee pot in our room. We had an amazing view of a rock wall? Worst stay ever... Do not waste your money on this place!

Room Tip: Pick another hotel.
