What a dream come true to finally get to see Mt Rushmore. The monument was just beautiful, even in the snow. Be sure to see the movie and watch for mountain goats in the parking lot - a bonus treat

I can't believe making a trip to South Dakota without seeing Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. Hard to find the words for such a sight. It's no wonder this is a top tourist attraction for the Midwest.

I live in the east part of the State. But I visit the hills often. I never tire of the beauty of Mount Rushmore.

This is a must do for people of all ages. Make sure to walk around the trail at the base of the mountain to get Moore views of the monument. We took our 10 year old granddaughter and she loved it.
Always be on the alert for wildlife. We saw several Yellow bellied Marmots and a few mountain goats.
