The Plough is a lovely pub in the heart of a pretty Welsh village ,The hosts Jane and Tom were very welcoming and friendly and its worth a visit for Jane's homemade sticky toffee pudding alone ,the food is all home cooked and excellent and the full English breakfast sets you up for the day

If you like gambling machines, pool tables, burly looking shaven-headed locals and very average, not cheap pub food in a cold and extremely quiet local boozer in the middle of nowhere.....this place is for you!!

The village itself is very limited generally but this is not a good country pub...it's a pretty grotty, unwelcoming, local spit and sawdust type hangout with very few redeeming features. I read the reviews and thought we would give it a go but I don't really understand where these have come from or who in their right mind would think it was a nice place..it's not.

I hate to say it but this is one 'country' pub that would not be missed. It seems tourists (or non locals) are not really welcome by the look on people's faces when you walk in (if there is anyone actually there!). Shame because I do love a good country pub but don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews, you WILL be disappointed.

Discovered this place two summers ago when visiting friends, this was our third stay, the best bit is that it's a lovely old pub, rooms are just right, not huge but everything you need. This place is very well used by the locals - always a good sign. We hope to keep visiting.

Excellent country pub with a couple of B and B rooms above, good attention to detail, can't fault the breakfast. Hosts very helpful and friendly. Friendly locals in the bar. Lots to see and do locally.

Stayed at this Inn in August with the family, used two rooms above the pub (connected) for three nights. A lovely peaceful spot, really friendly place, hosts attentive without being pushy, advice on location attractions etc, good veggie breakfast. This is a small place to stay but it's lovely non the less.

Very much enjoyed a weekend stay here over the Bank Holiday, rooms over the inn small but perfectly formed! Spotlessly clean and well ordered. Brilliant breakfast and very high standard of pub food served each evening. Hope to return.

Stayed here but did not find the accomodation up to much.
Bed sheets looked like someone had had sneaky sleep in them before I use the bed, there were hairs on the sheets.
No hangers for clothes.
Noise will travel throught the floor from the pub below be warned!

The food in the pub was fine for pub food.
