Thanks for a lovey stay at the Brecon Lodge.
We were made very welcome through out our stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with everything we needed - including a banana and marmite soliders for our baby at breakfast :) We would love to stay here again.

The location is stunning, the service is incredible and as soon as you walk through the Door you feel like family. It was raining when we arrived, and when we rang the bell we were escorted to our room, the Balmoral suite. We had a large, Victorian, atmospheric room filled will paintings of the town and era. When you come down for breakfast, you are given a choice of a hearty Welsh breakfast, orange/applegrapefruit juices, just to name a few, toast and fruit. Yoghurt or cereal and plenty more. The people are so nice here!

I have had the pleasure of staying with Anthony, Gaynor, and Melanie at the Brecon Lodge several times over the past few years when I have had to be in Cardiff for business meetings etc. It is just a great place to stop at for business or pleasure, everything you want including the Welsh Breakfast! Just walk out from there through the park to the seafront and have a stroll down the pier before enjoying a pint at any of the local pubs in town and then some fish and chips, that's what I do anyway!
Won't hear a word against this place, it's just a great place to stay in Wales.

Myself and a friend both from Southern Cal spent a few days in Wales as the last leg of a 10-day European trip. It was our first time staying at the Brecon Lodge -- we found it on the web -- and we picked it based on it's price and proximity to some local golf courses and the Ryder Cup golf tournament hosted at Celtic Manor. We booked the Balmoral room, which is the largest room and has two twin (US full) size beds. The room was very clean and featured free wireless web, local cable TV and an electric kettle for coffee or tea. Very convenient. Fresh towels everyday. The Balmoral booking is coupled with a private bathroom which is just upstairs and is also very clean. The owners Gaynor and Anthony took great care of us, a made to order hot breakfast (eggs any style, Welsh bacon, ham or sausage) is served each morning in the dining room with fresh pressed coffee (a plus for me), tea, juices and cereals. Gaynor even made sure we had plenty of goodies to take with us as we embarked on our daily adventures in and about town. It is a 5 minute walk to good local restaurants, pubs and the beach as well. I recommend the Brecon Lodge to all US travellers, especially couples, hoping to see Wales on a easy budget with a charming, clean and comfortable place to return to each night. Gaynor and Anthony went beyond their way to ensure we had a great stay and I consider them both new friends as well as smart B&B runners. Cheers!

We went to Wales and stayed here for our trip to the Ryder Cup. Our hosts were named Anthnony and Gayner. They did a terrific job of making us feel welcome and comfortable. We were told countless times to let them know if we needed anything. They even provided and let us umbrellas as it rainend for a few days. Their B&B is located in a nice quiet, residental area which is located a closse distance from the seaside. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby via car (within five minutes).I would highly recommend this B & B.
