we booked a double room having seen some amazing rooms on the site, thinking that paying 294 euros for ONE night, we would have apretty nice room. well no! we were put in an old old room of the hotel with a broken table leg, two single beds and not a double, and a smoking room. It stank!!!!! I have stayed in this hotel b4 and had an amazing new room but clearly 294 a night is not enough for a nice room. I would never in my life have ordered a smoking room either so I think we got stung!!! they wouldnt move us as apparently full.

The spa is COMPLETELY over priced. They wanted 28 euros per person to sit in the big pools and jacuzzis. and u HAVE to wear a hat which, did you bring your own? of course not, so they want 3.50 per hat! so to have a swim or a sit in the jacuzzi sets u back 31.50 per person. I personally think it ridiculous price when u have paid so much for a night. It should be included. at least an hours spa should be included for that price!

Breakfast was average and packed, not their fault I get it, but its not a nice feeling when the minute u stand up, the waiters are standing there ready to pounce on your table to clean it for the next guys. He practially swipped the plate from out of my hand....he saw my reaction and stood back, waiting to clear. not a nice feeling. Not all of us have come to ski and want RUSHED off our table. My coffee never came either!

Generally its a lovely hotel in a great location and the staff are friendly but I was extremely disappointed in the room I was given which just sent everything else down hill. Oh, and if you think 294 euros a night entitles you to a robe and slippers like other guests, your wrong! you dont get this in the rubbish rooms! I woke up with a painful back too. beds were hard! Also, 25 euros PER NIGHT for a parking spot. THis hotel knows its in the prime location and will charge what it wants! regardless of how over priced it is.

Stayed here for the 2nd time. Really good hotel in a great location as close to restaurants/bars and main ski lifts! Excellent buffet breakfast. Reception staff do speak english and are helpful and friendly. I upgraded to a premium room this time and well worth the extra money. Beds comfortable, choice of pillows, bathrobes & slippers, DVD player and kettle with tea/coffee plus lovely decor! Only negative probably the most expensive hotel car park I have been in. My advice would be to park in the main resort car park which is cheaper

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the slopes as these are quieter. It is worth upgrading to a premium room

Spent 5 nights in March. Very nice hotel room. One of best hotel buffet's I've had - felt like I was on an upscale cruise ship. Had cooks to grill meats (usually 4 choices of raw meats) at dinner - in addition to other dishes made back in kitchen - beware the Spanish apparently like meat cooked on rarer side (even the poultry) - so if you like no pink - you will need to indicate this to them. Usually also had a cook on crepes or waffles at desert station. Great salad bar. Breakfast equally impressive (although only 1 cooking station) rest made back in kitchen. Plenty of good food, you won't go hungry. Nice set up with ski lockers keyed to your room on lower level. Parking was fairly expensive 24 Euros/day. Room had large safe and heated floors - both main room & bathroom. They even had bottles of skin lotion which seems rare for European hotels. Small gym open 24 hours with 2 bicycles, a treadmill, an elliptical and several weight machines. The resort is one one end of the ski village - you can easily walk to lifts in 5-10 minutes. Only problem for me was walls, floors and door were all pretty thin. I often can hear TVs next door and scraping of chairs on hard floors from above, but at this hotel could not only here corridor noise really loudly, but even heard kids crying and having temper tantrums that were several rooms down across the hall (from multiple different rooms - this place seems popular with families) through closed doors (both mine & theirs). I was forced to wear earplugs every night which I don't like to do since I might miss my alarm in morning.

To start with, there seemed to be some problems with our reservation which were ironed out quite quickly by the friendly staff. The hotel has some fantastic amenities and we are going to head back to use the spa as we did not get the time to use this. The only complaint is the uncomfortable beds which meant none of us got a good nights sleep to prepare for skiing. Everyone is very friendly and the service is second to none.

As other reviewers point out, the location is very good. The public areas of the hotel are wonderful, the buffet meals are expensive but very good as is the spa.
We got a special deal for mid week in a standard room which made the accommodation good value. However, the standard rooms are very dated. Decor in itself is not a problem but the floors are tiled and therefore cold to walk on and make the rooms very noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear the guests next door and above you. If the hotel is full this could be a great problem. Although ski boots are not allowed in the rooms it sounded like the guests above us had disregarded this rule. No gowns or face cloths are supplied and there is no choice of pillows for standard rooms. If you like a particular type of pillow (eg. Feather) bring your own.
For non-skiers the town offers little so take lots else to do. There is free wi-if all over the hotel so an iPad is a great companion. The heating is turned off during the day in the rooms so if there is no sunshine then they get cold. The lounge is lovely and warm though.
If we were to return I would take the advice of another reviewer and upgrade to a premium room hopefully they are quieter.

The first great point is that the hotel is very easy to arrive to: no need to go all the way around the resort to get to the entrance, like for the rest of hotels, which is a true advantage.
The hotel as a whole is clean, modern and its situation just a minute away from the central plaza is perfect!
We booked half board and we have to admit both breakfast and dinner buffet are very good quality. A wide variety of food that can suit all need and diets (I personally tasted almost every bits, putting on a few kilos in the effort!), a waiting staff surprisingly nice and welcoming as well as good professionals.
The hotel offers a spa that really deserves to be tested! Huge pool areas, with Jacuzzi and water jets of all sorts and a great sauna and hot bath circuit. We were quite surprised at first to be obliged to pay for the experience; the service could be free in a hotel of such level (and price!). However, a 2 hours stay is THE perfect end for an exhausting day of snowboarding and did put us in a very good mood for the rest of the stay. So I highly recommend!
The only drawback that we experienced, if to mention one, is the big difference of level that exists between the standard rooms and the premiums!! The standards (one of which we stayed in) being slightly…. old fashioned compare to the premiums. The difference being so great that we shall not hesitate next time and pay the (not so big) difference and get a premium room.
Globally a great place to stay in Sierra Nevada, a bit expensive but worth it.

Room Tip: Premium at least
