“Good location, nice food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2013

Stayed there for a weekend in February with my son. Very nice experience. We stayed on All inclusive basis and buffet style dinners were very good with decent choice, good seafood and salads, excellent local desserts. I agree with others, the hotel is a bit strange as it comes to finding your room, two lifts and long corridors, it is a bit of a maze, we didn't mind but for anybody not very fit or injured (yes, it's skiing resort) this may be a problem. They struggled a bit at the reception, check-in took quite a long time, in my opinion they were understaffed. The location is great for skiing, you can walk to the lifts via an underground car park, get your skis from the ski room located at the end of it and take a lift straight to the gondola. Altogether great value for money, rooms could do with a bit of an update but if you get a good deal you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Get a room as close to the reception/restaurant as possible. Some rooms are very far and you may nee...

My daughter and I stayed at the ziryab for a ski break - it was a great location, the staff were really helpful and parking was very handy. Given its underground access to the car park and the car park's connections to the village, it was also a handy way to get around when there was snow/slush/rain on the ground!

Room Tip: 324 was OK - handy for the elevators!

We were given a room quite far from reception, lobby and restaurant. It seemed that it didn't belong to the hotel, but it did. We had to take two lifts, first to go down and another one to go up and walk along a large corridor to reach the room. This is was quite bad, specially with the luggage.
The room's furniture is outdated and the cleanliness wasn't great. We found lots of ants at one of the beds, below the bed and at the bathroom. We had to call the maid two times and she finally had to take the mattress out of the room to reduce the ants.
I had some trouble to fall asleep because of the noise from the machines outside the window.
I consider an expensive hotel for its overall quality.
The only good thing about the hotel was the location as it is quite central and the breakfast, which has a good variety..

Nice Hotel in the center of the Ski resort!
The front desk is very friendly and is taking care of the clients!
In the restaurant the choice of local products on the buffet has a good variation ant the servers are very efficient and friendly
The rooms could be more quiet and the noise is transported well from one to the other.
The relation between price and proposed quality is good for a 3* Hotel!

I'll go back again! Nice experience...

Room Tip: If possible select some rooms in the 3rd and 4rd floor! The rooms in the second floor are covered o...

We had booked to stay in the hotel for 4 nights mon to thurs to go skiing. We drove here from the Murcia region of Spain and found the resort and hotel very easy to find ( just make sure you access level 2 of the underground car park as you enter the resort and you can't go wrong). We stayed in room 114 which was at the end of a corridor, so we did not have noise problems. The only problem with the room was it was very warm, but this was easily rectified by turning down the radiators. The room was a little dated, but was a great deal better than many other ski resort hotels which we have stayed in.

Location was great, yes you have to walk a across the underground car park to the lockers, but we did not find this a problem. Ski locker facility was great, boots on, up in an elevator and your at the ski lifts!

Breakfast - we found this to be far better than expected (based on other reviews). There was a fantastic selection, cooked breakfasts, numerous cakes and pastries, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, pancakes, cereals.... The only thing we didn't like was the coffee, but there were machines where you could get a nicer cup (though these were quite cold).

We ended up checking out of the hotel 1 day early as the weather was was very poor so we couldn't ski. The hotel did not charge us for the final night, despite the fact we did not check out until after 2pm!

In summary, great location, great value for money, would defo stay again!

Room Tip: Rooms 114 and 115 are at the end of a corridor so very quiet.

just back from this hotel we found the only problem was the sleep .AS it has tiled floors all the way through you would hear all the movement of the rooms above you and to the sides.
but saying that we found it a great base for the skiing.
no problems with the staff all very nice. very clean and tidy and decent food and a goood prices
for evening meals 25 euros per person and loads of choice.
