If you are going to spend some time in Natchez's and want to experience staying in a period home with charm and beautiful grounds, then the Elms is for you.
Experience warm southern hospitality one thinks of when visiting with Esther Carpenter. She is 5th generation owner of the Elms and a warm and generous person.
You will be meet by Mr. Jerry who will see that you are made comfortable and will offer you refreshments and give you a brief tour of the house.
He is very helpful with suggestions of thing to do and places to eat while visiting Natchez.
I have saved the best for last and that is an amazing breakfast served in the morning with a table set for honored guests.
We truly enjoyed our stay.
Marc & Lorraine

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kellogg Room, very comfortable.

Lovely period property set on the edge of historic downtown. Property dates back to 1804 with real charm. Ester and Jerry were very welcoming with real Southern hospitality. I stayed in the Drake suite with a double bed in the main bedroom, two twins in the other bedroom, and a well equipped bathroom. In addition to the antiques, the room had cable TV and free internet. Breakfast was a social gathering with the other guests round the dining table - swapping stories and information of our travels. Overall, a wonderful experience.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. Our only regret is that we were not staying a second as we would have loved to have some more time to soak up the ambiance in the house. Our host was gracious and welcoming and the room was amazing. A real slice of gracious living.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kellog room. It was lovely but I can imagine that there are no bad rooms.

This was our first time to stay at a Bed and Breakfast so was a little unsure of it. What a wonderful experience we had at the Elms. The home has so much history and is absoluetly beautiful. We stayed in the Kellogg room which was like stepping back in time. Esther met us at the door even though she is recovering from hip surgery. What a wonderul lady and Jerry the host was superb! We could have sat and listened to him for hours. He is so knowledgable on the history of Esther's family and the house. The breakfast was also very good! Would highley recommend this place.

Just returned from a "girls' trip" to Natchez and stayed at The Elms. Loved the house, the hospitality, hearing the history of the home. Wonderful breakfast, beautiful antiques. Made us feel so welcome and at home. Enjoyed visiting with the owner and staff. Great time and experience. Highly recommend.

... into a glorious, historic Natchez home. Such a treat!

We arrived in Natchez after a long drive and were immediately swept up by the hospitality and dream-like qualities of this beautiful property. Our room was exquisite - a two roomed suite with a luxurious modern bathroom. Our room opened up onto the 2nd floor porch - perfect for enjoying the vistas provided by their beautiful property.

Our host graciously entertained us all evening, sharing the family history and tales of the of Natchez and her former glory. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful home, so lovingly maintained. It provided a wonderful backdrop for learning about the South, the role of Natchez, and the dramatic changes over time. Quite an experience.

For our 40th anniversary, we stayed at The Elms. Our room, the Drake, was spacious, comfortable, filled with lovely antiques and equipped with a thoroughly modern bathroom. We spent evenings watching the sunset from the second floor veranda that surrounded our room. Our host Jerry went out of his way to make our visit a wonderful experience. Breakfast was delicious. Location is excellent. Everything in historic downtown Natchez is within walking distance.

Room Tip: The Drake room includes a room with a double bed and an adjoining room with 2 twin beds.
