“Old Fashioned and Nice”
Reviewed 28 June 2013

I like the way the young people do the pageant and they do a nice job. We had never seen it before, and have liked all the special events they have at pilgrimage time.We also liked the satire play they had and the "road to freedom" singers.

“Worth seeing”
Reviewed 27 April 2013

We went to the Confederate Pageant held in Natchez during the Spring, and it was an enjoyable event. Sadly the auditorium wasn't very filled with tourist, however if you want to experience a history of old antebellum dancing of days ago, then book your ticket for this event.

“Historic Natchez Tableaux”
Reviewed 13 April 2013

Scenes of Natchez past are presented through the efforts of approximately 300 residents of Natchez. The city auditorium provides a good setting for the presentation with seating on three sides -- box seats on the floor and elevated seats behind. There's probably not a bad seat except maybe in the far corners. We purchased our tickets at the visitor center for a Wednesday night performance. Those who attend on a weekend night might consider purchasing tickets in advance.

We enjoyed the performance -- as good as community theater that I've seen around Nashville. The colorful costumes are beautiful. The children in the performance are cute, and they've obviously rehearsed many hours. We especially enjoyed the maypole dance. The vignettes present significant events in Natchez history. The final scene presents the queen and her court -- simply beautiful. The show was a little less than two hours which was fine since we were tired from a day at the visitor center and house tours.

“A grand spectacle!”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

I have tried for four trips to get to see the Natchez Pageant and finally was able to get in. It was so worth the wait! This fulfilled all my Scarlett O'Hara dreams. We had side section seats reserved but were upgraded by an invitation from the President of the presiding garden club that night, so we had floor seats. The costumes were all beautiful and it was interesting to hear the history of Natchez in story and song. The highlight of the night, however, was the last section of the program with the presentation of the Queen and her court. The dress she had on was the most fabulous gown you could imagine, with a huge train. I can't imagine any wedding gown being more elegant.
