Brandon Hall Plantation

Antebellum architecture at its best and unsurpassed Southern hospitality await visitors at Brandon Hall. Rachel is the most gracious of hosts and is a wealth of historical information regarding her beautiful plantation, which sits just off the Natchez Trace. As visitors enter the gate and approach the house, they will truly be taken back to 1857. We've stayed in a lot of B&Bs around the country and this ranks near the very top. The quiet serenity, the authentic furnishings and the delicious breakfasts added to the experience. We stayed here only one night last year and liked it so much we returned in June 2012 and spent the better part of a week. We most assuredly will be back again.

Room Tip: All of them are first class, but we really liked the Andrea Lauren suite.

Brandon Hall Plantation is located directly off the Natchez Trace. The grounds were beautifully manicured and we enjoyed walking through the fields, gardens and out to the pond. An air of serenity seemed to envelope the entire area. The interior of the mansion was just as lovely as the exterior. There was plenty of room for relaxing and I thought having an elevator in the house was cool. Even though there were other guests, there was always a sense of tranquility. Breakfast was great. Hope to visit again soon!

Room Tip: The Rebecca Delaine was spacious with two bathrooms and private dressing area.

Southern Hospitality in a beautiful and gracious antebellum home. Located on the historic Natchez Trace, Brandon Hall is in a lovely setting and Rachel and her staff made our two night stay very pleasant. We stayed in the Sarah Elise mid March of 2012 and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing visit. Loved having full use of the home, sitting in the various rooms during the evening was a treat. Don't miss the tour that Rachel gives of the home and it's history. Staying a little bit out of town is well worth it.

We got a last-minute room at Brandon Hall on the way to visit family. This was an amazing experience. We arrived to the property in the afternoon and were greeted in the front hall by Rachel. She was personable and showed us around the house and to our room. We stayed in the Rebecca Delaine room, which was more than adequately sized. We had a large, comfortable bed, sitting area and a separate changing room with TWO adjoining bathrooms. The entire house, including our room, was impeccably decorated with antique furniture and appointments. It was very clean and well-maintained. Our room was cleaned daily and towels refreshed. The air conditioning worked beautifully and kept us nice and cool. We were able to come and go as we pleased during our stay and had the run of the property to explore. From the wide porches with rocking chairs to the lush grounds and reflecting pool, we were able to enjoy our stay and take many gorgeous photos. The daily breakfast was served in the formal dining room on china plates and was delicious. The coffee was good and the service was outstanding. Rachel gave us a formal tour of the home and was well-informed of its history. All-in-all, we were very pleased with our experience at Brandon Hall Plantation. The price was well worth the stay. Being on the Natchez trace made it quiet. We almost felt like we'd stepped back in time. We have already passed the word on to friends and family and will definitely stay here again.

The customer who wrote "a true disappointment" must be living in some sort of alternate universe. I truly enjoyed my experience at Brandon Hall. I stayed Valentines weekend and it was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Rachel made sure that everything ran smoothly for us since it was our engagement weekend. She took care of EVERYTHING. All we had to do was show up. Brandon Hall is absolutely breathtaking and when you are there; you almost feel lost in time. I never wanted to leave. It is utterly beautiful and peaceful and the home itself is most certainly NOT musty. My fiancé and I loved it so much that we decided to make Brandon Hall the place we would get married. And again, Rachel took care of everything. She made sure that all I had to do was show up in my white dress and say I do. She calmed my nerves and made everything run smoothly. I was so impressed by her professionalism and her easygoing, personable attitude. She truly takes care of you when you are there. One morning she allowed us to have breakfast in bed and she hauled all those breakfast trays upstairs by herself. Because she cares about her guests. I've never had more personalized service anywhere. And at times, Rachel will leave the property because she does have a life and things that she has to take care of. But she will never leave without making sure that you have everything you need. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life and I plan on returning to Brandon hall this summer to celebrate my anniversary. Please consider staying here. You will never ever forget it.

We planned an escape to experience the Natchez Trace & the mansions of Natchez. What made this most special was the opportunity to stay for a few days at Branden Hall Plantation which is a glorious example of the antebellum life style just off of the trace itself. The gardens are serene & relaxing (make a point of enjoying the deck on the pond while watching the sun go down) and the decor is a match for any of the manors you might tour in the area. We ended up staying an extra stay to just take it all in and it will make for a grand memory indeed...

Room Tip: Our suite had an adjoining library which was filled with priceless books & period pieces...

My new husband and I decided to travel to Natchez for our honeymoon (March 12-14, 2012). We chose Brandon Hall because of the beautiful pictures and because it was outside of downtown Natchez as we were looking privacy. We ended up staying in the Louise suite on the bottom floor that connects to the library. The room was absolutely beautiful inside and out!! There is not a single thing I would change about our stay at Brandon Hall. Rachel and Mike were extremely nice and helpful. I highly advise anyone who is looking for a quiet retreat/vacation to stay at Brandon Hall because you will get everything you are looking for and more. We will be back!!!!
