The owners of the bread and breakfast we stayed in highly recommended a visit to the cemetery. They graciously loaned us the walking tour c.d. to use. The c.d. can also be purchased at the Natchez Visitor Center which SHOULD be the starting point for your stay in Natchez. Because Natchez surrendered during the Civil War, all of the historical structures are still intact, including the cemetery. The grounds are beautifully kept and with the guidance of the CD, you'll find the FREE tour worth your time.

It is nice to be able to drive through and really take in the the peace and serentity, some lovely old gravestones and tombs. The neighbouring service veteran cemetery next door is also very nicely done too.

The cemetery is amazing, the time periods in which those who are laid to rest there lived were the most important in our great country's history. Definitely a must see!

Iked to have walked around the cemetery and explore in more depth.

This cemetery is maintained so very well that you might think you are in a military cemetery. Very quiet, rolling hills, peaceful and spiritual. I love visiting cemeteries and this one is a highlight! The friend that we were with has family buried there so it was even more special!
