We flew in to New Orleans and had a fairly short drive to Natchez. It was a wonderful weekend stay in a very historic town and B&B. The host was very knowledgeable about all of the history of the town and his family home. The host was excellent and included in our stay was a very impressive classical piano recital. The breakfast which was included was cooked and served by the host and was delicious. We would love to go back again someday!

We've been staying at B&Bs all over the world for almost 50 years and the J.N. Stone House Musicale B&B has become, after one stay, one of our all-time favorites!
Our room, a bedroom and en suite bath, in the host's historic family home, was spectacular--enormous, filled with antiques and memorabilia, and spotless, of course. But it was the host himself that made this place so special.
Joe is an accomplished, and very knowledgeable, musician. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend one of his concerts, in his lovely home, and what a joy it was to hear some of the piano music of Gottschalk, Debussy, Schubert and others played so masterfully in such an environment.
At the excellent breakfasts Joe prepared for us, we also discovered how knowledgeable he was about Natchez and its history. We learned so much and were very glad we followed his recommendations for everything from which houses in the area to tour to where to eat.
I give this B&B my very highest recommendation and hope we'll be able to visit again someday.

My wife & I stayed in the Master Bedroom of the Joseph Stone House NATCHEZ for the nights of 8/9th April 2014. It was a lovely two days and we would like to have stayed for at least one more night if not two. The house is charming with lots of space. There are many period pieces and Jo looks after everything impeccably. He is also a superb host. Both mornings we were treated to a marvellous home cooked breakfast including some special touches such as an unusual antique toast rack. In addition to a piano recital given to us by Jo on our second day accompanied by wine, he also showed us numerous other antique artefacts including some early strip maps one of which we purchased as it showed our home town in England mapped as it was a couple of hundred years ago.

We were on a fixed schedule and had to leave Natchez after two nights but the town itself surrendered early in the Civil War and so was left undamaged. There was much to see including many houses, the Mississippi and some charming public buildings.

The combination of Jo's house and the town itself made this time a high spot of our extensive tour of the Southern states of the USA.

The Stone House cottage was a wonderful choice for our trip to Natches! As 2 women traveling together, we each had our own bed and bedroom. Joe's concert and breakfasts were fabulous. We used the julep cups in our room for impromptu cocktails on our patio. Great place to stay to experience "feel" of town! Have already recommended it to friends.

Our US road trip from New Orleans to Knoxville brought as to Natchez. Staying at Stone House was the perfect decision for our family of three. Everything about this beautiful house breathes history. The host Joe was very helpful to us, giving us a lot of information about the town and its history. We had a problem with our rental car and he even called the local Nissan Dealer and helped to solve the problem. Not being native speakers, it was a great relief to not have to do it by ourselves. The southern breakfast was the best we had during our trip. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Staying at the Stone House was great fun. Joe is an interesting and talented host. The rooms were very clean and the food was good. The house is located within a safe and easy walk to downtown. This was a great value for our money
