what a pleasant surprise in this day and time to find such a delightful host. Joe makes your Natchez sojourn both restful and entertaining. From the information about what to see and where to eat to the history of his family and the town,he makes your visit a personal affair. Don"t miss it!

This bed and breakfast is by far the best one I have been to. Joe Stone is an awesome person and does anything to please his guests. My Grandmother and I were extremely pleased with our room: extravagent, elegant, and spacious. Joe cooks an AMAZING breakfast each morning, specifically at your choice of time. He also gives tons of information upon arrival and suggest different places to go. Lastly, he is an awesome musician and gives a concert during your stay. I have nothing but positive things to say. It really gives the definition of southern hospitality and charm. I will definitely be back for the Fall Pilgramage and plan to stay at Joes bed and breakfast again!!

We booked a Saturday night stay in Natchez at the Stone House for my wife's birthday after reading such great reviews on tripadvisor.com. It was our first trip to Natchez and our first stay in a Bed & Breakfast ....we were not disappointed!
Joe Stone, a descendant of the original Stone family who purchased the house before the Civil War, was a wonderful host and "tour guide"; his close connection to the house made our short visit very special. Joe has renovated this historic house with touches of family and local history along with interesting antiques, period art & photography.
We stayed in the beautiful Master Bedroom at the front of the house and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Very private, peaceful, and romantic! (We even played a few games of pool in the renovated Billiards Hall). Joe, a classical musician, gives piano concerts to his guests and visitors in the Antebellum Music Room and cooks up a really delicious home-style breakfast. And his historical knowledge is extensive! Our Sunday morning gathering in the Dining Room developed into an interesting historical peek into the social history of Natchez and the Stone family. I won't spoil it for you...suffice to say you should experience the Stone House for yourself!
This B&B is convieniently located on a quiet street near downtown...close to all Natchez's historical places. We will definitely return.

The initial draw to the Stone House was the billiards and the piano focus. Even if you have no interest in either of these, Joe has created an excellent B & B that makes you feel welcome. He is an outstanding host, very helpful, good cook and was easy to visit with. We stayed in the cottage, which was immaculate, and very tastefully appointed. I would highly recommend the Stone House to anyone considering staying in the area.
