Historic Oak Hill Inn

Certificate of Excellence

We stayed the last night of our six day motorcycle trip on the Natchez Trace Parkway at Oak Hill Inn. Everything was top shelf! From the mint juleps on arrival, to spacious, well decorated rooms, and a fabulous breakfast. Doug and Don are excellent hosts. We had planned a leasurely ride home to New Orleans after breakfast, so we had some time. Doug was gratious enough to give us an extremely interesting personal tour of Oak Hill, both the structure and the furnishings.

This was our first trip to Natchez. We'll be back and we'll be at the Oak Hill Inn again!

It was our first time visiting Natchez. Unfortunately, we were only there over night - we WILL be back for a longer visit and a drive to Nashville on the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Fortunately, we stayed at Oak Hill. We have stayed at other B&B's, but Doug and Don's home surpassed anthing we have experienced.
#1 - The home is beautiful, historic, comfortable, charming.....I could go on and on.
#2 - It's immaculate.
#3 - The breakfast was first class fare - everything homemade, even the croissants - amazing!
#4 - It's so very quiet - You will get a great night's sleep!
#5 - It's romantic (how could it not be with a bedroom suite like the one on main floor!)
#6 - The grounds are beautiful -
#7 - Absolutely amazing Mint Juleps in the evening sitting out on the front porch in the glow of gaslight looking out onto a civil war era neighborhood - that's the way to top off a day of travel!
#8 - AC in the home was perfect.
#9 - You can take a lovely walk downtown to find some great little restaurants - we loved Biscuits and Blues).
#9 - Doug and Don are the best! Warm, friendly, informative and very proud of their beautiful, historic home.
I could go on and on. Thank you Doug and Don, for a lovely stay. We WILL be back!!!

Room Tip: The suite on the main floor has a gorgeous canopied bed and lovely bathroom - beautiful view of the...

From the moment we arrived, the owners Doug and Don treated us like royalty. The inn was fantastic, and the breakfast and pastries were wonderful. Everything we needed was provided for us at the inn. Doug and Don helped us plan out our trip, and they were spot on with their recommendations. Every aspect of this getaway went well. We cannot wait to visit the Oak Hill Inn again.

Room Tip: Every room is perfect.

The breakfast and accomodations were amazing. The grounds are beautiful. Everything was top notch. They had the fridge stocked with everything and warm chocolate cookies waiting for us when we arrived. They also have complimentary mint juleps on your arrival to enjoy on the beautiful front porch.

We are scheduling when we can return again. Its a must!!

Our recent two night stay (August 15-16) at the Historic Oak Hill Inn in Natchez was an experience that, in the manner of true Southern Hospitality, gracefully wove together, excellent accomodations, unbelievably wonderful food and personal service by owners Doug and Don, beyond 5 star rating! They met us with home made cookies and the best "Mint Julep" to ever cross my lips. Doug provided us with informative details about the home, attractions and restaraunts that helped us plan our day to maximize the Natchez experience. We will definitely return to the Oak Hill Inn and would highle recommend it to all family and friends. Fred and Monica Clausen Irving, TX

This is immaculately furnished, the rooms are immensely comfortable, and the breakfasts would put a 5-star hotel to shame. You won't find better !

Brought my wife back for a second time for her birthday. This place is amazing. Don and Doug make you feel like your at home, offering way more value than any B & B we have ever seen. Whether it's a delicious mint julip with home grown mint syrup to a breakfast that's as gourment as it's gets. The home is well kept, very clean and stacked with antiques. We highly recommend Oak Hill as a B & B of choice and plan on returning this
Fall.
